About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

Excellent conditions and layout
The greens are in great shape. Smooth and fast. The layout is fun and the setting is pretty. Entertained by birds and gators.
Great course
Consistently Nice Course. Since converting to zoysia grass several years ago this course has been one of the top 5 on the West Coast of FL including. Mission Inn, Innisbrook, and other highly rated mid-FL and South FL courses. The best thing about Big Cypress is that it is accessible to the public at teasonable prices.
Good bang for the buck!
Good bang for the buck! Laid back relaxed atmosphere, with mainly locals. Good vibe for this reason, a little off the beaten path. Staff was great
Big C looks good
Played here many times on south and north courses played south today everything looked good from tee box to green wish the price was cheaper but it’s not a deal breaker it’s the best course in Lakeland
Great course
Big Cypress never fails to be in great shape. This is my favorite course in Lakeland.

One of the best around
Hands down one of the best courses around. Tom checked me in, great guy very nice and great customer service oriented. Course is in great shape with perfect greens. Food smelled great but we didn’t eat, maybe next time. Lots of nature to look at, gators, birds and deer. Cool statue that was carved out of an old tree on the back nine is a nice addition to the hole. Can’t say enough good things, go play this course.

Awesome
Course conditions were amazing. Tee boxes were better than the greens on most courses. Greens were in perfect condition, Can't imagine why we had the whole course to ourselves. A little pricey but can't beat the great condition of this course.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Beautiful layout, outstanding course conditions, and friendly and knowledgeable staff. Can't wait to come back for another round.

Couldn’t Believe It!
I normally don’t write reviews for golf courses. Yet this golf club here had no faults in my eyes. I’m a single digit handicap and enjoyed everything about this course. Greens were amazing. I played the ball down and never had a bad lie. Looking forward to playing it again.
