About
Big Cypress Golf Club is part of a gated golf retirement community called Cypress Lakes. Conveniently located between Orlando and Tampa, the club offers two golf courses, the North and the South. The South Course is a championship layout that is more challenging than the executive-length North Course. Both courses are characterized by the abundance of water and swaying palms, offering the best of Florida golf. The South Course plays a long 6,680 yards from the back tees. The course presents a more demanding test than the North, appealing to more advanced players. Florida Golfer and Senior Golfer have recognized its challenging layout for its excellent conditions and design. Maintenance is a top priority at Big Cypress; on both courses the well manicured fairways and greens are consistently in good shape.

1st time playing Big Cypress south course
Golf course offered challenging round of golf. Excellent condition from tee to green. The green were so smooth and true putting. Got to play it again.
First the greens were perfect!!! They rolled true and we’re very consistent throughout, no blemishes anywhere. Greens comparable to Championsgate CC. Most tee blocks were good, and fairways easy to hit off of. Always enjoyable to play this course. Staff are all very friendly, from coming through the gate, checking in, starter, all make you feel welcomed

Best course I’ve played in Lakelandfor the value.
Hidden Gem
Played it a few years ago. Was even better than I remembered. Greens roll true, the whole course was in excellent shape and we were extremely impressed. Stop for a bite too. The prices were more than reasonable. Worth the drive!
Excellent conditions and layout
The greens are in great shape. Smooth and fast. The layout is fun and the setting is pretty. Entertained by birds and gators.
Great course
Consistently Nice Course. Since converting to zoysia grass several years ago this course has been one of the top 5 on the West Coast of FL including. Mission Inn, Innisbrook, and other highly rated mid-FL and South FL courses. The best thing about Big Cypress is that it is accessible to the public at teasonable prices.

Good bang for the buck! Laid back relaxed atmosphere, with mainly locals. Good vibe for this reason, a little off the beaten path. Staff was great
Big C looks good
Played here many times on south and north courses played south today everything looked good from tee box to green wish the price was cheaper but it’s not a deal breaker it’s the best course in Lakeland

Big Cypress never fails to be in great shape. This is my favorite course in Lakeland.
