About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

For a short course ( under 4000 yds ) it can be somewhat challenging to a high handicapper. There is sufficient water and sand hazards to catch an errant shot....leave the woods home as there is no need for them......always an enjoyable round as breaking 90 is very doable for this "high handicapper".....

The Groves is a nice place to play well maintained great carts and a pretty challenging course I love to play here it’s worth the value one of my favorite places to play!

Leave the driver at home just bring your 3 wood and you'll be just fine

The Groves in Lakeland
Course is in good shape with the greens being excellent. The only negative is that this is a very short course. From the blues it is about 5500 yards.
The folks running it are a big plus. they were excellent, as were the other players.
it is a good course for short iron practice into the greens and putting.

Terrific Tee to green!
You can always count on The Groves for having excellent tee to green conditions. Holes #4 and #18 can be trying at times because of their layout but still getable. Really nice staff and good food to boot. I always look forward to playing there.

Beautiful course
I love "The Groves" Golf ⛳️! The greens are wellmaintained and a challenge. Every time I check in the staff is super friendly! Even though it's a little further from us than other courses, I would rather golf at The Groves. The Pro store has every thing that you would need. The facilities are always squeaky clean.

The course requires one to use all clubs in you bag. This is not a mindless Driver on all holes besides par 3's. Player must navigate around the course with layups & strategic golf.
Condition of course is outstanding. Recommended for all handicaps.

Great Value Great Course
I have played all over the Tampa Bay Area and I can say with confidence that the groves is the best course of all of them. Not only is the course always in good shape, the price is the lowest compared to other course around. I love the Aqua range. It’s pretty cool to be able to drive balls and watch them splash in the water. I will definitely recommend this course to anyone.
