About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Disappointing Course even at a low price
How do I begin this review the course itself the neighborhood was nice. Staff was very friendly, but the course itself was so poorly maintained that the fairways were like the rough. There were dirt patches everywhere. Tee boxes weren’t cut, driving range itself wasn’t cut and it wasn’t until about the fourth hole that we got a notification on our cart saying that they close at 7 o’clock When they sold the teatime at 4:40 so unfortunately due to a group ahead of us they teed off 25 minutes late and we are only able to do nine of our 18 holes that we paid for by the time we went back to the clubhouse. The clubhouse had closed at 5:30 and was unable to speak to anyone about the situation. I do not recommend it and best of luck finding a different course to play for it even if you’re tight on a budget.
fairways and greens were in excellent condition. All the other courses i have played in the area have been dried out due to the drought conditions in our area. Was very very impressed
Not a fan of the new layout
They swapped holes 9 and 18, not sure why as it will make traffic worse on the last 2 holes each 9 and the scorecard isn’t updated either. Greens in good shape, not fast but not a carpet
Awesome course
Golf course is awesome. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.
Although pace of play was slow due to a group of 5 in front,
My opinion should not allow no more than group of 4 to play.
Took to long to golf 9 holes.
Overall great course
Still great after all these years
I took a chance and played this course after having not played it in at least 2 years. Nothing was wrong before, just didn't want to make the drive and didn't see the value. They've maintained it well and it was more enjoyable than I remembered. Greens were a little fluffy and slow and also hard to adjust to. I needed to hit the ball much firmer than I'm comfortable with so that was a challenge. The course layout is a good one that requires targeting your shots which make it extra challenging on this short-ish course. More par 3s than I personally care for but it was still a good round and I'd play again.
Great short course
Loved this course. Was clean and great fairways and greens.
Staff is Amazaing
Played as a single, Butch the starter was awesome. He got me out ahead of schedule, and even helped me navigate a few groups ahead of me to get me around quickly without waiting.
Course is always in great shape. A little dry today, but since the area hasn't had a significant amount of rain in over a month, it was still in great condition, and much better than other local courses.
A constant go to, time and time again.
GREAT ENJOYABLE COURSE
MY FAVORITE COURSE TO PLAY AND RELAX. HOLE 18 IS A REAL CHALLENGE.
Groves consistently Good
Above average greens, well taken care of. Good variety of layouts, elevations hazards. Traps well taken care of Shorter course but blue tees will challenge serious golfers. Really good shape considering drought.
