The Groves Golf and Country Club

Played a good pace and the greens are looking and rolling smooth. Good food in the grill. staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the day

The Groves is a shorter course with plenty of holes to challenge even the best player. You have to hit perfect shots on most holes in order to score well. Having played the Groves last week, the greens were in great shape, the bunkers played true (real sand helps) and the majority of the fairways were in very good condition.

The team at the course are friendly, helpful, and enjoyable to help you each time you play. Especially Ray and David in the clubhouse and Joel on the course.

I plan to play here at least once weekly.

First walked in and was greeted by a fine man named Niko, guess on spelling, he was full of smiles and happy to check us in. He handed us a score card and we went to our cart parked just a few feet away. We were welcome to take cart to car and load up our clubs

. The range is aqua range and has Matt's for full use on days grass is unavailable. The first tee grabs your attention as trouble is right in front of you and a green setting just on the other side of it. Grass on greens are smooth and rolled true. GPS on carts so you know where to hit and how far. While playing a players assistant was driving around to ensure we were keeping pace. The front has some wonderful holes and nature is right by you the whole round

. Many deer can be seen as well as a gator or two. Seems like nature approved bof this course. Fits nicely into the shape of course. I didn't have to swing any drivers but did anyway cause why not be on a par four in one. . All in all the course has made some incredible improvements since last time I played it. So I give it a 9 out of 10 when it comes to layout and condition. 10 out of 10;for the staff. Very friendly staff. Makes you wanna move in and be there full time

. You will not be disappointed.

The Groves is my favorite place to play. It's a shorter course but not easy. You are in the fairway or in the swamp. Great for older golfers or golfers who want to improve there short game.

The real challenge of the course is patience. The layout demands one's constant attention to selecting the right way to play each hole rather than, 'Grab your Driver & hit it as far as you can' approach (course management).

For higher handicap players, the course's appeal is distance. The player can reach greens in regulation & build confidence rather than be penalized for lack of distance off the tee.

For more accomplished players, the course requires a measured approach.

My 10 year old son and I played this course and we were extremely happy about the whole experience. He was able to handle the course as there were yam excessive amount of traps and the fairways were forgiving, giving him a chance to be successful. I enjoyed for the peace of the surroundings and friendly staff.

Always enjoy playing at The Groves. Staff is very friendly and the course is just challenging enough to keep us coming back.

I played this course Friday and Saturday. Staff is great. Course was in very good condition. Excellent course to really work your woods and irons.

This is a short but fun course full of challenges . . . think, "Target Golf!" Staff is great, greens and fairways are in good shape, bunkers actually have sand in them and most of the cart paths are in good condition (better than most public courses).

I liked it so much I'm bringing a friend back next week to play a round.

I love playing this course whether it ne the immaculate conditions, the advanced carts, the price, the surrounding protected scenery, or the staff friendliness. I've always enjoyed playing the Groves.

Short ( only one par 5) but well laid out and fun to play. Course was in great shape, greens rolled well. Even the bunkers were well groomed. You have to place some shots to make birdies! My wife and I had lunch in the grill after and had great service ( Jasmine) and the food was great. I will definitely ne back.

Golf now should post The course rules if you have to have your golf cart back at 7 PM when they’re allowing people to order 18 holes at 5 PM

Really nice job getting and keeping this course in good shape. It is still a challenge despite being shorter. 19th hole and drink cart!

Loved playing this course. It’s “the longest short course in Florida” with a few reachable par 4s, which is really fun but can potentially bottleneck players that want to go for the green vs lay up. I had a great experience and loved how I was able to teach myself to aim for yardage spots instead of just hitting it as hard as possible. Great course and super friendly staff. Good food and beer at halfway house. Thx!

Im a new golfer so I love that this is a cheaper easier course I can get better at. Great staff and the greens were pretty nice.

Outstanding golf course, Had a blast playing our round. Course conditions rival those of the top tier courses. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Greens were pristine apps were fairways. Definitely going again! Definitely recommend.

Wife and I came to Hudson for golf and fishing and The Grove is the most fun we’ve played. Awesome terrain with incredible wild life (gators!) and really cool bridges through conservation land between holes.

We are fairly novice golfers and this course was challenging but not brutal, very playable. Highly recommend for any of the country club courses north of Tampa.
