About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Greens in amazing shape
Played this course several times, it’s pretty short so it’s a great time with friends who might be new to the game and the holes are fun and tricky at times. The greens are in some of the best shape I’ve seen in the area at this time of year when many are dead or dried out. Really good value especially for tee times in the afternoon, definitely give it a try

Very slow play
Play was super slow and we ended up leaving after 12 holes. I couldn’t stand the pace of play anymore!!

Be ready for slow play
First nine holes very very slow , no ranger on course , 2 ball in front very slow , first nine took over 2hr 30 mins , once they left after 9 took less than an hour , it’s a great little course , great condition , testing but you don’t need a driver ! Just suggest they get people moving who have no clue

Excellent Course!
I play this course about once a week...although it's short it's still a challenging layout and the course is always in excellent condition...I play in the afternoon so I usually don't have any issues with pace of play and the greens fees are very reasonable...I highly recommend the Groves!

Ok
I left my driver in the trunk. Try it. Course was in good shape, the greens were slow for me but putted ok. Some nice looking holes. Too bad it's on 41. Traffic can be an issue.

Nice short course
Play this course often with my wife. She loves the length and the greens are normally in good shape.

Pretty
Course is kept in good condition. Wish seven springs was half as good. Distance between holes is a little weird if you’ve never played before.

Fun layout for short game
The Groves is a good course to tune up your short game. Most of the greens are reachable with one or two shots depending on how good your distance is.
It isn't easy because many of the holes have narrow fairways and greens with short length. Its very easy to hit too long on pitches.
I enjoy playing here because it isn't as crowded as some of the other courses closer to Tampa or Pinellas County.

Nice Practice Layout, Just Slow
The course is a fine short layout. Several interesting holes. Great place to work on iron play. In the past I've played it in under 3 hours. This round took over 4 1/2 hrs with groups stacked on most tees. Need to space out groups
