The Groves Golf and Country Club

We enjoyed our round and here are my negative comments. The greens were in great shape but very slow. Other then the par 3’s there was no need for cart paths only on some holes as the course was bone dry. There were lots of bare spots anywhere off the fairways.

I took my three sons to this course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised at the course conditions during the hot summer. Everything was in excellent condition… full fairways cut perfectly, sand traps the were like powdered snow, greens that were perfect for putting and challenged your skill level no matter what your experience is. I couldn’t have been happier. I am 52 years old and have been playing golf since I was 11.. I would highly recommend this course.

Sand on most greens very disappointing. Called ahead to ask about greens, pro shop said they were excellent, not true. Will not be back

This course is always well maintained. Greens are in beautiful shape, fairways are always green, even the roughs look good.

The Groves, while quite short is still a big challenge for a high handicapper, like myself. Course conditions were great, nice smooth, fast greens and nice close-cut fairways, but you need to keep your tee shots in the fairway as water comes into play on several holes...it's always a fun course to play and looking to return there again someday soon......

With lack of rain this course is in good condition. Greens roll true, tee boxes in good shape, fairways in great condition considering the weather as of late. Pace of play is comfortable no waiting and no one pressing from behind. One complaint is in grill went in looking for a sandwich or hotdog something fast. Was told they backed up and it would take a long time to get food. There was only one group seated and they had just been served. This is not the first time the grill has failed to deliver over the course of 10 visits only once were we able to get a sandwich at the turn. Back to golfing if you want a short thinking course this fits the bill.

How do I begin this review the course itself the neighborhood was nice. Staff was very friendly, but the course itself was so poorly maintained that the fairways were like the rough. There were dirt patches everywhere. Tee boxes weren’t cut, driving range itself wasn’t cut and it wasn’t until about the fourth hole that we got a notification on our cart saying that they close at 7 o’clock When they sold the teatime at 4:40 so unfortunately due to a group ahead of us they teed off 25 minutes late and we are only able to do nine of our 18 holes that we paid for by the time we went back to the clubhouse. The clubhouse had closed at 5:30 and was unable to speak to anyone about the situation. I do not recommend it and best of luck finding a different course to play for it even if you’re tight on a budget.

fairways and greens were in excellent condition. All the other courses i have played in the area have been dried out due to the drought conditions in our area. Was very very impressed

They swapped holes 9 and 18, not sure why as it will make traffic worse on the last 2 holes each 9 and the scorecard isn’t updated either. Greens in good shape, not fast but not a carpet
