The Groves Golf and Country Club

About
Surrounded by 200 acres of carefully preserved wetlands, the Groves Golf & Country Club offers championship golf in a spectacular setting. It sits conveniently just 20 minutes north of Tampa in Land O Lakes. Maintaining the natural beauty of the landscape was a top priority when designing the golf course, which is why the layout manages to seamlessly blend into the surroundings. The course, which measures 4,026 yards, offers all of the challenging qualities of a championship-length course but can be played in four hours or less. The player-friendly golf course offers something for all skill levels whether you are a scratch golfer looking for a quick round, or a beginner looking for some challenging practice. In addition to the course, The Groves also boasts a unique aqua driving range as well as putting and chipping greens.

Everyone, from the front desk, starter, waitress was very welcoming, friendly, helpful,. We enjoyed our day and look forward to playing here in the future.
fun course
Combination of easy to medium hard holes. Greens are wonderfully challenging. When you miss a put , you kinow it's not the greens condition but your stroke ! Staff were friendly and respectful. One of my favorite venues to olay
Great shot makers course
Great greens ! It’s not a grip it and rip it course. It’s a fun course to play
Oh my God…
The Groves has always been a personal favorite for me and my entire family!!! Amazing staff, conditions, and great prices. NOT any more! I can play nicer regulation golf courses for the same price or just a couple bucks more. The greens fees here have become nothing short of astronomical and all while course conditions have deteriorated. Bumpy slow greens, dead tee boxes, and astronomical prices have soured me on any kind of return. I know its a great track with great staff and used to have great conditions, but for north of $40 its absolutely nuts!!! I live 7 minutes away and after my last two rounds will NOT return until prices come back down to earth. I must not be alone in my thinking either as during my last two rounds, course was deserted.
Not worth astronomical green fee
This is a par 66 course that is charging $59 for green fees. The course has been in terrible shape since the storms and little is being done to remedy it. This one of my favorite courses in the area but the price and conditions right now are just disappointing. Seem a round elsewhere.
Sharpen your approach and short game
The course is in great shape. I love playing here because it is great practice for my approach, short game, and putting. The holes shape and hazards are challenging often requiring precise shots. Perfect for my game training.
Great Challenging Course
Went for the first time and the staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell they care about the guests and visitors. Highly recommend.
Getting pricey
Always love the groves. I think best greens in Pasco. But let’s be serious not a $50 course. Also please post when there are restrictions. “ cart path only
Breath of fresh air
Playing the groves is like breathing in nature while trying to kill a ball as far as possible. Once you relax & enjoy the surroundings & stop trying to kill the ball the course falls right into place. You still lose a crap full of balls but you’re having fun doing it. Every aspect of this course was in great shape. This place is a gem
Great find
We were very happily surprised by this course. It’s a great layout. Very friendly staff. We will definitely come back.
Everything was great except for 2 idiots in front
This course is always perfect except when it rains. Played here many times and always enjoy it. Staff is super. As usual we got 2 idiots in front of us hitting off of the back tees and could not hit the ball more than 10 feet. Oh well that is a public course.
Not a good value
Was very disappointed with price of a course that should have been billed as an executive course. Personnel were good, but layout, conditions and value were not good. Rating by others led me to the course. Greens, traps were fair at best. Not a 4 1/2 course!!!
