About
Designed by Joe Lee this 18-hole semi-private course has beautifully contoured wide fairways . Sparkling lakes are abundant and the bunkers are strategically positioned on the open fairways and around the greens.
The low-cut rough and tiered greens make it player-friendly and fun.

Great round of golf
Teed off at 803 and finished 18 at 11:30.
Realize its not season anymore but for a foursome on that coarse, we where totally surprised when we noticed the time we finished.
Cart girl and halfway house were a welcome surprise.
Greens were in great shape.
The greens seemed to be nice the practice area could use some help
The course was just OK. I hadn't played it for a couple years. I used to play it once a week in a group of people. I think it was nicer then. The course was not busy and you would think in April they would lower their prices. The course is over priced, but Winston isn't the only one. When I go back north I will play as nice or nicer courses at 1/2 the price.
Slow Pace of play
Pace of play was the worst I’ve ever played. Took nearly 6 hours. Partners we played with got so drunk they peed all over the place. Ranger would drive by and wouldn’t say a word. Terrible won’t play again. Go somewhere else.
Winston Trails is a solid track
Played WT several times; course layout and condition are always good but, this year we were marooned behind several groups playing a scramble format. The round took well over 5 hours and the ranger made no attempt to ask these groups to speed things along. The extreme slow play was quite aggravating and severely hampered any rhythm whatsoever.
Course was a mess
The course was really sloppy and not what I was expecting for the money. Last time I was there a year or so ago it was gorgeous. Very far from that this time.
Course was decent and cart girl was active but all the other staff had a terrible attitude like you aren’t supposed to play there.
Greens were perfect, Fairways were in great shape also
It was a very enjoyable day out there, I wish the pace of play was better, but overall, we had a great time would definitely play there again.
