About
Miami Springs Golf & Country Club dates back to 1925, making it one of the oldest courses in the area. The club is the original home of the Miami Open and it has hosted many notable players over the years including Sam Snead and Gene Sarazen. The golf course has become a local favorite over the years, offering a round that is both challenging and affordable. The golf course has a traditional design with narrow fairways lined with mature trees and the greens are small and subtly undulating. It's a layout that demands accuracy and careful course management will be generously rewarded. You won't find too much water on the golf course but there are some strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. Miami Springs Golf & C.C. has some tricky holes but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper.

The conditions of the Golf Course is in bad condition and not worthy of the fee that I was charged..

OK Course for the money
Course was just okay. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. For Miami I thought it would be in better shape. Pace of play on a Friday was slow but we finished in about 4:30.

disappointment
This course is not 4 star - maybe 2 1/2. No rain check policy. Of course it rained even though the forecast was sunny. Only got to play 8 holes. Golf carts squeaked and rattled and overall in bad condition. Tee boxes unkept. Hard to find grass to tee up. Overall not an enjoyable experience. I play at Hollybrook Golf club rated lower and is in way better condition.

Greens and fairways are very good. I really like to play here! You can use your quite often because it’s wide opened!

Once a great course
The course layout is still good after all of these years. Until they scrape it clean and replant, it will be a worn older course that is ok to play, not more. It really needs to be modernized and worked on. In the Miami market is priced right because everything else is so expensive. I would say play it but be prepare. The clubhouse was great 20+ years ago and needs a lot of work. Very tired!!

Course Conditions
Tee boxes were terrible and not moved on a while. There were better location for the tees but nobody took the initiative to evaluate and move.

Lacking
The course conditions are substandard , from the driving range to the fairways. Tee blocks show more sand than turf . Greens are reasonable given the intense heat they are subjected to on a daily basis . That said, some money needs to be spent on course conditions. Nice enough layout but this is mitigated by the appearance of neglect .

Great value
I have played Miami Springs about 20 times over the past 8 years. I think it is a good public course with very good greens and average fairways. It is very playable for the average golfer. Staff is helpful and friendly. I enjoy playing the course. One of the better public courses in the Coral Gables area.

Slow
Greens in good shape; fairways etc passable at best. Issue is pace of play. Front nine was going great until 8, when a staff member and a guest cut in front of our foursome and began slowing us down. In general, the pace of the back 9 is slower ( more difficult) but by 12 there were 3 foursomes in front of us. Began progressively worse and we all quit after 15. If I go back; will be 9 holes only.
