Has it where it counts

No frills but pleasantly surprised by the quality of the greens, and subtlety of the layout. Greens were much better than the expensive sandestin resort courses which I played earlier in the week.

Hidden gem of Miramar beach

Just an insanely awesome course. The bang for buck is crazy. Was a US open qualifier about a month and a half ago, and it lives up to the hype. You will not be disappointed with the course layout and conditions. Just make the tee time, and get to the course. You’ll thank yourself after the round for coming here rather than anywhere else.

Hadn't played the course in a year or so, and I was very pleased to find it in very good shape! The fairways were plush and well manicured, 2nd cut of rough was present and very playable. No bad lies were had (in the fairways). Greens were quick with lots of movement and nice fringes.

Great value at the beach!

First time playing here while at the beach first week of June. While greens need two more weeks to be close to perfect after aeration a month ago (could be really good), the ball rolled well (10-10.5) and wasn’t affected by any slight indentions. 3-some at 9:37 played in 3 hrs 40 min (booked day before). Perfect balance of challenge and playability for a 6,15 & 26 hdcp (4 total lost balls). You’ll find nicer amenities/facilities/range for $50-$70+ more at some beach courses, but the staff, pace, price, time and enjoyability will definitely bring us back. If you like finding hidden value gems and don’t need perfect country club venues, this is your spot.

Great track

Always seem to play in the Destin area and wanted a chance to play Rocky Bayou. It did not disappoint. It’’s an out of the way gem. It’s an older established course and IMO has the best true greens around. Talked a lot with the Marshall and everyone was above pleasant. BOOK IT!!
