Rocky Bayou Country Club
We really enjoyed playing this course There are lots of trees The greens are nice size and fairways are nice. There are some very pretty water holes. The course is very well maintained.
Love this course!
I love this course and would play it more often if it wasn’t over an hour away.
Even though the greens were recently punched they were sanded and rolled really well. Looking forward to my next round at Rocky Bayou.
Beware of member for Day
Country Clubs shouldn’t be allowed on GolfNow with being a member for a Day .The course was very nvery nice some of the best holes I’ve seen I’ve been playing golf since 1990 we were on Vacation and was looking to play on a nice course 7 of us we all have played golf but we felt that we weren’t very welcome there because we were Men of color we did have a in law that was white and he witnessed what we were talking about first hand. We have met up and played in Arizona Las Vegas Georgia all types of places this was the first time we were followed and made to feel uncomfortable about playing Golf we all know course etiquette and pace of play you think that we would have paid 75 dollars to play if we didn’t we have paid much more than that . So that’s why I’m saying if you don’t want people of all races o. You course you shouldn’t advertise a member for a day and if you do so you need to be Welcoming even if your being fake . The Course was nice but the Marshall wasn’t to our Group we actually caught up twice to a group of slow players and never saw him and we finished 18 holes in 3 hours and 35 minutes and we were being watched almost if the Day
The Verrett’s Golf outing
The Course was Beautiful Great Views and some intimidating holes. The only thing that was wrong the Course employees was comfortable with us being out there Our Group consisted of five guys of color and one white guy .We all play Golf and know the course etiquette or rules but the Marshall kept coming behind us and watching us then one time he came and tod us we were one hole and a half behind and we had to pick it up the pace and we had all just paid 75 dollars a piece to play that was far from the truth every time we came to the tee box the group in front of us were just hitting on to the greens we caught the group a couple of times and the Marshall was nowhere to be found we all knew that it was because we where men of color and it was a country club that wasn’t used to seeing that many guys of color on there course matter of fact we didn’t see any black players at all So I recommend that golf now shouldn’t let a country club do a member for a day because the y put black golfers into uncomfortable playing conditions
Great course
Course was in pretty good condition. The lay out was awesome. Looks like an easy course but it was more challenging than I thought. My only complaint is the greens were punched 2 weeks prior and still haven’t recovered yet. Other than that it was great playing there.
Well worth the price
I’ll start by saying the greens had been punched by knowing that just hit it closer. The course was well-maintained very clean no run over trash cans well manicured ,by far the best course I’ve played in southwest Florida for that price point hands-down. Knowing the conditions on a very hot day with the beverage cart running in a timely fashion that nice. The fairways manicured help me striking the ball much better therefore leading to my lowest score of the season. Definitely will be back on a much cooler day.
best course in the Niceville area
Always a pleasure to play this course, especially when you get a golf now price
Fair Layout
Very fair course for average golfer. Friendly staff.
Slow play and average layout
Compare of play was major issue. Had group of 5 older men and another group of 5 or 6 older men in group ahead of them. Held up the whole back nine and wouldn’t let a group of two through. Course in pretty good shape and layout is pretty easy not a challenging course at all. I would recommend one of the courses in Destin. Never heard of a course allowing 5 or 6 people to play and even worse hold up your whole course. Very poor management to allow this.
Course is in great shape. One of the best courses in the area.
Better than Kelly Plantation
Ever since Rocky Bayou started overseeing the fairways during the winter, this course has been one of the best in the area. I am thankful they allow nonmembers to play, and I hope they keep it that way. Beautiful layout, impeccable condition, wonderful greens that really prove the difference between courses like Eglin/FWB and this course. Rocky Bayou is one of the best kept secrets in the area.
Hidden gem on the emerald coast
Course was in excellent shape. Best bang for your buck in the Destin area!
