Poinciana Country Club

About
The Poinciana Golf Club has recently re-opened under NEW MANAGEMENT and has done extensive renovations to the golf course including NEW GREENS.
Located in western Lake Worth, Poinciana Country Club is one of several great short courses that south Florida has to offer. At just over 4,000 yards, it is a quick and challenging test of your target golf skills. The greens are small with large breaks and there are swaying palms lining the fairways. The layout consists of par 3s that range from 103 to 172 yards and par 4s that are approximately 300 yards. There are strategically placed hazards throughout the golf course that offer good short game practice for more advanced players. Poinciana Country Club can conveniently be played in less than four hours. The golf course is still gentle enough for beginners though. It is popular amongst locals but still a well kept secret from the rest of south Florida.

Great time
Four of us fist time here had a great time. Good conditions, great greens and staff. All around fun and worth the trip. Most inexpensive round of golf in palm beach county. We will be back.
Challenging Goff course for my level of play
The course is well maintained and managed. Considering the high green fees and the high cost of playing golf this time of year in Palm Beach County, Poinciana Golf Course is an affordable option.
The golf course offers a sufficient challenge for my level of play, imploring a variety of hazards as a challenge for the players.
I look forward to returning to play at Poinciana Golf Course on a continuing basis.
Short by challenging
Course in decent shape. Although a shorter course you still get to use your driver and 3 on a few holes. Has some water hazards
We can walk,
the rate must be different when we walk and if don't use cart. Unfortunately it's the same price.to walk or use cart.
First time.. impressive
In town for a week, played several different executives and this one ranked the highest. Staff made the experience super enjoyable. We left our range finder and they were really accommodating in getting it returned. Nice track, greens in great condition. Great value, will def play again.
Loved it!
Challenging but fun for all skill levels. You get to hit every club in your bag. It’s not private course conditions but very playable and greens are some of the best around. Can’t wait to go back.
A bit worn out
Fine for beginners or bargain hunters Course a bit worn out and tired. Otherwise a great place to lean n practice. Very open mostly par 3’s n 4’s
Good, fun, golf
Great time, good price, good conditions. Will definitely come back.
Overplayed
We played here a year ago and enjoyed it. Greens were great, tees and fairwys ok, and pace was good. It currently suffers from the drought in the area and the crowds. Play was slow and the course was baked. 2 hardworking staffers doing their best. Stinky, noisy gas carts.
Suggest a visit after the rains return and the snowbirds head north.
Last minute option...
Had family in town, so it was a last minute option. Good place to go if it's your first or second time playing. While it had tee boxes and greens, it's a cow pasture. The greens weren't as bad as the fairways and tee boxes. Nice people that work there though.
Golf course that we can walk...
The price to walk or with cart is the same, They have to ajust the price...
Poinciana
Poinciana is great. It is just challenging enough to be interesting without going over the line for the occasional golfer. There are opportunities to hit nearly every club in your bag, with a heavy emphasis on refining the short game. The greens are in excellent condition. The fairways are very good. The traps could use a little more sand, but they are also kept in good shape. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It's season in South Florida, so the snowbirds run the price up a bit, but still more affordable than the fancier courses around here. I will definitely go back.
