Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club - Panther/Bobcat Course
About
There are three nines at the Silver Dollar Golf & Trap Club, which can be played individually, consecutively, or as three different 18-hole combinations. Each nine has a unique layout with different challenges but all share the same lush landscape covered with stately trees and water features. The Panther/Bobcat combination offers a mix of narrow and wide fairways, some of which are lined with trees. A few strategically placed bunkers come into play along the greensides and there are also water hazards coming into play on a number of holes. Located just northwest of Tampa along the west Florida coast, the nines represent the best of Florida golf. Silver Dollar also boasts some of the area's most affordable rates, which makes the versatile layouts doubly appealing.

We can then all over the course Photo submitted by Gilbert3585586 on 05/27/2013
Friendly staff, good course conditions.
Greens were in good shape and rolled nicely, most tee boxes were in good shape, fairways were nice too. Played all 27 holes today and it was smooth sailing, will play here again.
Great Value
Wide open, my boys can crush the ball in (m)any direction. Good, long course.
Beautiful, Fun and challenging course
Great course. Really enjoyed our round of golf. Staff in the pro shop is a little grumpy and.unhappy though.
Pretty good value
Course was reasonably priced - $25/person including cart, taxes, etc. Greens were postage stamps for the most part. It was sometimes hard to find truly flat ground on some tee boxes. Course had some pretty soaked wet spots, and a number of shots where you can’t tell whether there is water there or not. Not an easy course for beginners, but other than the above it was in reasonably good shape. Staff was very friendly. Not the greatest course, but I would go back again.
Great Place
This gem of a course is hidden just outside Tampa. Three 9 hole courses on property. We enjoy playing here. Will be back soon.
Yes then No
I like this course for the money however I have a beef concerning the carts. When golf courses were allowed to reopen all of the courses I played had rules in place to keep the patrons as safe as possible. This included 1 person per golf cart. Now that we're in phase 3 of re-opening this course seems to think that social distancing is no longer a thing. We specifically asked if it was one person per cart and they said yes but if we wanted to ride together then take a cart that has the divider in it. Well we took individual carts and as we were teeing it up to tee off here comes the ranger telling us that we HAD to be in one cart. We specifically asked that question to start with. Seems as though they changed their mind and now they want to charge us another $10 each for individual carts. There was a single that we let play through and I asked him if he had to pay an extra $10 for his cart and he said NO. After the round I asked about this anomaly and the answer they gave is "that's what corporate decided". I said when, just now. What a bunch of BS. They did have new carts though. Maybe this is how they help pay for them.
If you’re looking for a casual round of golf, this is the place for you. If you’re a serious golfer, not for you.
Nice course for the money.
Challenging course with hazards left and right. Greens a little rough right now but course is in great shape.
