Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club
About
Heritage Isles is a scenic course that cut through native cypress heads and natural wetland areas. At 6,976 yards from the tips, it is one of the most demanding public golf courses in the Bay area. While water does come into play on all 18 holes the premium has been put on the short game. With large, meticulously maintained greens, those players who are handy on the putting surface should be able to shave a few strokes off their scores.

Heritage Isles - Pace
Not many courses are worth playing at a 6 hour pace. This definitely isn't. Couldn't get my cart until 5 minutes before my tee time and waited 10 minutes at every stroke. Unless you get a time for pennies or have all day to goof around, steer clear.
Also, theres no Golf Pass benefit. The pro shop attendant had no clue what I was talking about.
Hello, AndersHood. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club.
Good greens, good value
Working on the course some new sod on greens and areas around the course. But didn’t come into play for us. Good shape considering all the rain we’ve had
Don't plan to play 18 holes....
The pace of play was abysmal. There was very little attention given by the staff and ranger to starting times. Club members will also just insert themselves between groups on random holes and there is nothing you can do about it. Even when I confronted a ranger I was told to "suck it up". It took us almost 3 hours to do 9 holes! And it wasn't our rate of play. The group in front of us played slow and also just "jumped in" at hole 4. at hole 11 we tried to skip ahead, we passed 5 groups, one of which had 7 people!
We were unable to complete our round. Refused to partial refund either.
slow play
second time playing this course in the last month and both time it took 5 hours to play.i don't care how good thiscours is 5 hour to play a round is not a pleseant experience
Bunkers
This course has the best greens and fairways around the Zephyrhills area. The bunkers on the other hand need more attention. Most are very hard surface. Need to work up the sand and groom the surface.
The pro shop staff are first rate. Very professional and courteous.
The restaurant is not really set up to have a quick hotdog or sandwich at the turn if you need it.
I would suggest downloading the Golfmoose app and taking advantage of the two for one deal currently available.
Great value for your money
Excellent customer service, course is in very good shape. Greens are beautiful and fast.
No golf perks
Solid course and pretty well kept. However, the pro shop will not honor any of the golf now golf perks….
Good course
I like the course. It was cart path only but we had a good time. Pace was slow because of the restrictions.
Golf now doesn't advertise Cart return time
Was very excited to play this course. Got there and checked in and the employee in the pro shop told us carts need to be back by 545pm. He also mentioned that they were busy and play was backed up. He didn't offer an alternative solution or any advice about how to proceed just told us where to get the cart and check in with the starter. The started was out there but not monitoring play on the course that was extremely slow. I wish there would have been a ranger moving things along or we had the option to possibly start on the back 9 instead of waiting to tee off on the front 9. If golf now had advertised that carts needed to be back by 545 I would have approached the situation differently and booked an earlier tee time. The guy in the pro shop could have offered us to take a rain check on the back 9 or something of the sorts since he knew we paid for 18 holes and would not get to play them. For that reason I gave it a poor value for the money because I paid for 18 holes and only got to play 12, which in my opinion is a bit of a scam.
Average
Not a bad course. Probably overpriced. Tee boxes ok. Couldn’t play sand traps. Layout ok. No GPS on carts. Have been looking for courses around Tampa. Probably won’t play again. Nothing real negative.
