About
Heritage Isles is a scenic course that cut through native cypress heads and natural wetland areas. At 6,976 yards from the tips, it is one of the most demanding public golf courses in the Bay area. While water does come into play on all 18 holes the premium has been put on the short game. With large, meticulously maintained greens, those players who are handy on the putting surface should be able to shave a few strokes off their scores.

Good with some caveats
I played on a Sunday afternoon so it wasn't too busy, pace of play was fine.
Course conditions varied from perfect to wanting. Most of the greenside bunkers were in need of some attention, with some just needing extra sand, to others needing a whole lot more. I had to just chip out of a couple bunkers because the sand was too compacted and wet to do a splash shot.
Fairways were good, a little dry but thats fine, it hasn't rained in a bit. A couple greens need work and a couple more had ground under repair.
I got this on a hot deal for about $40, for which I got my moneys worth. I don't know if it would be worth it for a full price morning tee time.

The rough is to high.
The course looks great. But the rough was too long and it was hard to find balls when they roll of the fairway. Need to cut the grass down!!!

Greens were about a 8.5-9. Fairways good. Decent layout.

The pro shop was rude and unprofessional. He advised that I would share a cart with someone I don’t know. This is fine but I advised him that I normally smoke a cigar while playing. Saying it was fine for me but trying to take to be considerate for the other person. He said he didn’t care and said I will not get involved. He then turned to talk to someone else.

Horrendous experience
I have been playing golf my whole life. We had the worst possible experience at this course today. We showed up and they had no carts available. He had to wait 20 minutes past our tee time to get a cart. We got yelled at by the ***hole starter for teeing off on the FIRST HOLE. Apparently we were supposed to start on the back nine. No one told us. Absolute jerk of a starter. We get to the tee box and there are 4 groups on every hole. It took us 5.5 hours to complete the round. We were getting hit into the entire round and the starter was 0 help. The course was in great condition but not worth the terrible service and pace of play. I will NEVER come back to this course. Go somewhere else instead of wasting your money at this ****hole of a course. Oh, and we were served warm beer by the cart girl because they “ran out of ice”.

Horrible course
Terrible greens. The “bunkers” were either literal dirt or shells.
Didn’t let us know which 9 to play so we decided to play the back 9.
Then proceeded to get chased down by the ranger. He tried to talk to us like we were idiots… won’t ever recommend giving a cent of money to this course. Absolutely waste of time.
Good course
This course seems to be well maintained. Good layout. Greens are mostly in great condition and are fast.

Fast greens
Overall the course was in great shape. The greens were the fastest I have ever seen on this course. The roughs were thick. There was a sign for a pro am tournament so I assume that they are grooming the course for that.

This course is a deal
Played course twice on my trip and enjoyed it each time. Pace of play was great on Wednesday afternoon but as expected slower on Friday afternoon. Course was in good shape, allowed me to use several of my clubs to navigate and a steal at my price point (about $32). I’ll definitely be back when returning to the area
