About
Heritage Isles is a scenic course that cut through native cypress heads and natural wetland areas. At 6,976 yards from the tips, it is one of the most demanding public golf courses in the Bay area. While water does come into play on all 18 holes the premium has been put on the short game. With large, meticulously maintained greens, those players who are handy on the putting surface should be able to shave a few strokes off their scores.

Challenging course
Better than average greens, great layouts. Need more golf carts, didn’t get one until teeing off.

Concerned
We like playing this course we have a 3 some pretty much every week. We get hooked up with a single most times. A lot of the times the single doesn’t fit it in with the group. This week the single wouldn’t wait for the entire group to hit before going to his ball. Told him several times to wait because one guy was hitting from the green tees. He wouldn’t do it. It got a little upsetting as the round went. No ranger to tell our complaint. Not a happy day. In the restaurant we were ignored trying to get something to drink and to place an order. The women Tim we felt was very rude. This wasn’t the first time for her rudeness. We didn’t know her name at first until she told us. We tried several times to get her attention. She would look at us we motioned for her and she wouldn’t come. We finally got our drinks ask for menus thank waited like close to 20 min to place our order. Regulars came in she waited in them and they got there food way before us. We like the place but the restaurant is an issue with Tim waiting on us. The course should have a ranger plus the starter should try to make sure who is hooking up with other players get along and not make it uncomfortable. We had to wait for the single to join us. I don’t think that is cool when the day is suppose to be fun with your buddies or friends.

slow play
There were two groups in front of us playing very slowly, but no ranger to instruct them to play faster or allow other groups to play through.

I’ve played Heritage Isles many times. Overall The course was in good condition. Almost all of the greens had damage around the first cut, but did not affect pudding. Just not pretty. Sand traps on the Front nine were not raked and were full of water.. The back nine sand traps were groomed. Overall a good day at the course.

Expectations
Paid $52 for a 9:32 Sunday morning tee time in November. Really is a fair price compared to other courses.
Goods- layout is fun. Greens were decent, not excellent. Fairways decent.
Bad- rough is long, so east to lose your ball becasue it’s not thick so it drops so you can’t see it. Other courses with same rough is think and balsa don’t nestle down. Some bad spots on a couple greens. Sup needs to address and not let them get to point of being a dipped section you can’t put through. With such good amount of play- get out and do the necessary repairs- two holes had a couple. Dry bad spots. Pretty sure a group jumped out in front of us at the turn- we were waiting all day as a two some and suddenly a diff group in front of us at 10.
Overall a good experience. $52 prob the max to play there.
