Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club

This place could be decent but it just seems like it’s poorly run. I’ve spoken to multiple people who complain about the attitudes of the people working the pro shop and I agree, some pricks for sure. Who runs this place? Sometimes I just want to go hit range balls and God for bid you get there two minutes after the time they “stop selling balls“. So I make sure to get there before that now and guess what, we’re out of ball. Will go get them! You’ve got two kids working, go get em!

Last time I overheard some regulars who are there every day complaining, and rightfully so, because we were stuck on the mats instead of grass. They have two different sides and they work a row at a time back and then switch to the other side yet after a month the other side is still closed, they can’t get it back into working condition apparently and then keep it closed and have to hit off of mats for weeks. What a joke It’s like they don’t want to make money. So sick of trying to give them mine, I’m done. Never going back to this place again. It’s amazing how other golf courses can manage to keep their range is open get this place can’t. This area needs a quality range and golf shop badly. Maybe the new Saddlebrook will be open besides when playing.

Pace of play was great until we ran into about 10 kids

Playing in a First Tee program. The kids were fine, but the chaperones used this as an opportunity to teach them some important lessons in poor etiquette. Greens in poor shape, lots of dead spots.

Course is in very good shape, the tee times are every 8 minutes which leads to log jam and very slow play. Other than slow play i give this course a solid 4 of 5 rating. Restaurant food quality is very good, carts are in good shape, staff is very nice.

Called the club house before our round of 9 holes to see if they were still allowing tee times out due to the rain that had passed threw, the pro shop said yes and that it would be cart path only. We made the drive to the course and go to pay and the course employee tells us that he isn’t letting anyone out because the course was to wet. Mind you I just called them 20 mins before we left to ask if it was still playable and he said yes. I asked for my refund on Golf now and he said that would have to be something I would have to deal with on there side. Poor experience, course looked great sad we couldn’t play

Was not aware that golf now was a registration fee and would not be deducted from the green fees. Will not use golf now again. It’s a rip off

Don’t bring any new golfers to this course. The amount of times we were stopped by the ranger and watched while hitting was absurd. I have been golfing for years and understand the etiquette of pace of play. We switched to best ball to accommodate because we didn’t want to ruin anyone else’s day. But holy cow man we were getting watched like a hawk I couldn’t even play (11 handicap). Stopped constantly and just what feels now like out right harassed. Great course..terrible for the game they will be out of business by the next generation.

The golf course was in excellent condition. Everything was green. Tee boxes and fairways were in great condition. Some of the greens had bad spots and/or ruff edges and you could tell they were trying to get them to fill in. Number 6 green was the worst. Overall it was worth the money. Had a great day and always like coming back here.

I’ve played this course 3 times in the last year. The first time EVERYTHING was atrocious. Greens/fairways/bunkers all substandard.I was never going to play there again, however had the opportunity to play there twice since then at greatly reduced greens fees.

You can tell the management is trying to make this place better. Most all fairways are in great conditions. MOST greens are decent with a handful of rough ones. About 1/2 the sand traps are no longer mud traps. Much improved!!!

Very nice shape in almost all areas. Good , fast greens, fairways had green grass which is very rare at this time of year. Fluffy rough, traps were wet but it was raining on this day off and on all day. 4-5 stars for me!!

This could be a very nice track. Some interesting holes. The fairways and tee boxes were mostly in good shapes, but the greens were in either rough shape and/or the slowest I have ever seen. The starter a man from Boston was very nice and engaging, while the pro shop attendant and cart girl were less than thrilled to be working. Though to the cart girls credit she came around quite often. If they could get the greens rolling fast and true and a few more smiles from the staff it would be a good value course in Tampa.
