Lexington Oaks Golf Club

I just don't get the excellent reviews. I've avoided this course for a couple of years because it just wasn't worth the money even though its close to my house but after reading recent reviews decided to give it a shot again & once again I was sorry. The greens were punched & top dressed well over a week ago, yet it was still impossible to putt between the ball bouncing like a basketball & the extremely slow greens just stopping the ball on anything but the firmest putts no matter the distance. 1 green even had footprints burned into the turf where someone had walked during or after a chemical application. There were also numerous burned streaks on many fairways which is odd considering the amount of daily rain we've had in this area over the last 4 days though overall the fairways were generally in very good shape. Sand traps were heavy & wet, attesting to the 4+ inches of rain the last 4 days around here but several sand traps had rocks in them, fortunately I was only in 1 trap & it had no rocks. Numerous tee boxes were chewed up & finding a grassy spot to tee up from or a flat area to stand was the exception on most tees. Just moving the tee location daily away from areas that have been torn up & sanding/seeding the chewed up sections would fix this issue & go a long way towards restoring the course to the quality their asking price demands.

There was no one on the course besides my 3-some & the 2-some a hole behind us so taking our time during the heat & humidity on a sunny Florida afternoon resulted in a 3 1/2 hour round which could have been even shorter if we chose to move faster.

The restaurant closed at 4pm, on a Saturday, the day before Father's Day which was pretty odd & they had a sign saying they clossed at 4 Friday, Saturday & Sunday so if you have an afternoon tee time don't expect to sit down for dinner or a drink at the end of your round.

Challenging course, especially the back 9. Narrow with lots of water. Greens bumpy from the recent aeration. Fairways, tees are green and thick. Traps are tough with high walls. Staff are awesome. Will play this course again.

Course in very good condition, recommended for a reasonable price. Played in 3 hours flat with little to no delays.

Greens putted true but hard to hold. Fairways in good shape. Bunkers very playable. Enjoyed playing course.

Have played this course maybe a dozen times and the staff is always friendly, the course is always in really good condition. Great track.

I haven’t played this course in a year and a half right when they redid the greens. I was totally impressed with the conditions of the course. It was in good condition. I remember them having a reputation for fast greens. I was a little disappointed because they were not but maybe because of the heat they were keeping them on the long side. I definitely will be back.

Excellent staff and beautiful facilities .. nice course for the wallet as well!

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were cut nicely and rolled very well. Some of the tee boxes need some work. Fairways were fine considering a lack of recent rain.

The afternoon is probably a better deal right now (price and pace of play). It was refreshing to play again.

Nice course layout. In very good shape considering lack of rain . Greens putted true and held shots. Fairways were good. Would play this course again.
