Mayfair Country Club
About
Opened in 1922, Mayfair Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Florida and it's still the only course in the historic city of Sanford. Over the years, it has hosted a number of famous players including Sam Snead and Arnold Palmer. The layout is wide open with a traditional design that is player friendly enough to appeal to novices and experienced golfers alike. Like most older course designs, the fairways are wide but the approaches aren't very forgiving. Water hazards come into play on over half of the holes and you might be surprised by a few subtle but tricky elevation changes. Mayfair Country Club is not a formidable test by any means, but there are a few challenging holes that will make you think.

One of the worst golf courses I’ve ever played. The starter started an argument with me on the first tee because I booked my tee time that morning and he printed his sheet already. The course itself was falling apart too.
Needs work.
Have seen this course conditions go up and down over the years, but sadly it is in poor shape. Extremely dried out and in need of care. Greens are bumpy cartpath are rough and tee box markers need painting. Sin is still up for a future clubhouse, but doesn't look like groundbreaking is any time soon. Thank goodness, we got a hot deal, or I would've been more disappointed.
Mayfair
Fair course. Greens very good. Still a lot of water after hurricane. Last few holes were in great condition.
Mayfair CC
Course conditions continue getting better and they had just punched and sanded the greens so putting was off a little tough. Overall a good layout i enjoy playing
#3 and #12 Great Improvements
I'm happy with the improvements on holes 3 and 12. Work still needs to be done on some fairways, # 4 for example. Overall good course for the money.
I like this course
I play here several times a year...old school built in 1922...variety of holes and distances...good for regular players or beginners...easy to get to off I-4 or 417...certainly worth checking out
5 hrs to play
3 older gentleman couldn’t hardly walk and always wanted to get out and walk the last 100 yards and 2 of them were playing out of the same bag…they also played from the whites and clearly needed to be playing from the reds…
Slowest round of golf ever played
Older gentleman playing from the whites couldn’t hit it 150 and walked so slow I wasn’t sure they were going to make it to each green…no one was in front of them and yet they never let anyone faster go through….there needs to be a coarse marshal on coarse…. I won’t ever return….
