Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Great course, but cold and windy

Played Tukwet Canyon Champions on Sunday. Pace was great, finished in under 4 hours on a Sunday! But the threat of bad weather scared away most golfers.

Course is in great shape and I love the layout. But it was cold (49 degrees) and windy! Normally the morning rounds are pretty still here, but as the storm clouds were rolling in it got ferocious. The balls were literally blowing off the green.

Nice round of golf

Challenging course for us as we are average occasional players. Only real complaint is hard packed and rocky sand traps, and “smart”golf carts with a mind of their own.

Challenging course w/many bunkers

Challenging course w/many bunkers-keep sandwedge handy. Groundskeepers hadn’t cleaned up well after last rain storm and flooding. Fairways and greens okay, but rough and cart path could use some attention.

Slowest SoCal course?

After playing 14 holes in 4 hours 15 minutes, I quit in frustration. I have never experienced pace of play as slow as this. Why isn’t the course on top of this? The starter suggested that we would be finished in 4.5 hours, you would think that someone would be taking action when that standard wasn’t met. Never again!

Won't be running back to play this course.

The course is in rough shape. Bunkers have little to no sand, with plenty of rocks in them.

I have golfed there many times through the years. Each time I go, seems to be getting worse.

Kick rocks

Fairways, rough, and greens were very nice. The tee boxes need a little work but the sand traps were really bad. I picked up and dropped from all sand traps as the first shot I took from there the rocks damaged my sand wedge. Way to many rocks in the sand for 80$ per player.
