About
Situated amongst the foothills of the San Gorgonio and San Jacinto Mountains, Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon boasts 36 holes of scenic championship golf. The two courses, the Champions and the Legends, are some of the area's most popular. The older Champions Course is host to the PGA Tour Q-School and it is a Nationwide Tour Qualifier. It is such a popular tournament location that it is known as the "home of the Southern California PGA." The Champions is a challenging but playable layout with tight fairways and numerous steep-lipped bunkers strategically placed throughout. There is also thick, treacherous rough that will swallow any errant shots. Also included in your tee time is unlimited use of the practice facilities, which include an all-grass driving range as well as chipping and putting greens.

Course not is good condition
We expected much better after being referred to this course by a friend. Areas of the course were filled with gofer holes and you rest needed to watch your step. We will not return to this course.

Could be better
Driving range had no grass, no mats, only dirt to hit off of. Sand hazards are dirt, not sand. Pace of play was slow, waiting on every hole 5+ hr round. Course is fun and challenging. Please fix these things to return to a five star course.

Why let the course become scruffy!?
It has been a little while since last played here – Then, the course was in excellent condition; they always kept the course that way. Today, oh boy! What happened!? Please do not let this course fall apart!

Never coming back
Took an hour and 45 minutes for the first 3 holes of the day. Sat on the tee box at hole 4 for 25 minutes and decided enough was enough. Ended the day right then and there. Not sure how you get 5 groups backed up on hole 4s tee box. Slowest round I've ever experienced.

Windy day
Champions course is hard enough without wind! Still a great day w friends. Bunkers are in rough shape, Greens are in great shape but do the course right and fix ure divots !!

Too high of expectations
I liked the track, but it was fairly ordinary. For some reason I had higher expectations. Ended up playing the Legends course (Champions was closed). Maybe Champions is better? Greens rolled true, fairways decent shape. Lots of gopher/rabbit holes!

If you have a weekend to kill!
Second time in a month playing here. Used to be my favorite place.. Last two times took almost 6 hours to complete the round. No management of pace of play and way overbooked. If you have a day to kill play here. If not stay away.

Poor course conditions and slow pace of play
We were really exited to play this course, but had a disappointing experience. The course is not in a good shape and the pace of play is super slow. Sorry, that is not a COVID-19 consequence, just poor management.
On another note the staff is friendly and helpful.

fitst time to play on championship course on thur. morning. 2 sum group ahead delayed the pace of play.. other than that it was wonderful morning to be out there.. the course setting is way above avg..
greens were pretty fast and hard with pins on rhe edge of downhill and/or uphill which made my score card with some double circles. you will enjoy everything expect the slow group ahead of you if unlucky.

Challenging and Fun
the course was in decent condition, the greens were fast and
the bunkers were a little rough (i assume the pandemic had its impact) but overall nice place to play....
The Staff was friendly and courteous....
