Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Weathering the storm

Most courses let you play at your own risk with thunder and such but here they come and get you and make you return the clubs house area. We waited over an hour for the alarm to go off to go back on even though no thunder or lightning was heard around us. Other than that the course itself is in good shape

Nice course, greens just too slow

Not sure what was going on. The rough was torn up by what was obviously a broken or mis-adjusted mower. The greens were generally in good shape, but just way too slow for a course of that quality. It is a fine course, but I won't play there again until they get the greens to at least a 10.

Fun but tough

I've played here a few times in the past. I love the course, I think it is a fun layout. The rough was pretty thick and tall and once your ball was in there it was hard to recover. My biggest issue was the bugs, which was pointed out in previous reviews so I can't say I wasn't warned. All in all, fun time

Nice Experience

I had played this course before, it's very forgiving not much trouble comes into play. My friend is just learning so I thought it was a good confidence builder for him, Not loosing balls into the water and thick cover. It is a bit of a ride for us coming from Naples, but worth the drive. We'll be back!! * Only 1 issue we had to stop on the 15th hole because of the weather- lighting. No fault of the Golf Club.

Buggy

The course was recovering from aeration so the greens were painfully slow. I've played it twice recently and the bugs have been overwhelming to the point where I won't return. The people are great, the course design is outstanding. Its just hard playing golf while swatting at bugs all day.
