About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Panther Run
Played here many times. This was probably the worst condition I’ve ever seen it in. The starter was very rude to our group and the pace of play was slow.
Great value
Since this course is a bit out of the way I took advantage of it's very affordable rate. It's worth the trip if you're staying in Naples. The layout is fairly open, but yet challenging. The course was in excellent condition which added to the overall value. I would recommend this course to anyone in the area. My one critique would be the staff. The ranger and starter had horrible customer service skills; they were borderline rude. The gentleman in the pro shop was okay, just not very friendly or helpful. Aside from that, I would return to this course.

Disappointed
This is one of my favorite courses when I come down her for the Holidays. Even though it's a bit of a drive out, it is usually worth it cause of the layout and qaulity of the course plus the pricing is extremely reasonable!
I was greatly disappointed with the condition of the course: overgrown patches of grass in the fairway and ALOT of dried out spots around the greens.
Again, I love this course and hope they are able to clean it up before people start talking a it loses its draw as a top course.

Der Kurs liegt in einer Retortenstadt und versprüht wenig Charme. Der Empfang und die Mitarbeiter waren äusserst freudlich und hilfsbereit. Die Fauna ist imponierend.
Leider erinnern die Fairways eher an einen Linkscourse (im negativen Sinne) und die Grüns waren von den Greenkeepern vermäht (dies führt zu braunen Rändern). Pech war, dass während unseres Spiels fie Grüns mittels Toppdressing und Dünger bearbeitet wurden.
Die Gastfreundschaft im Clubhaus haben den Tag aberpositiv enden lassen.
Enjoyed the course
Very nice layout with fairly wide landing areas off the tees. Fairways were good, tees were very good and greens were excellent. My wife and I were a twosome and we were joined by another twosome. The round took 4 hours and 5 minutes, so we were very satisfied with the pace of play. It's a bit of a drive out to Ave Maria, but we felt it was worth it after the round and look forward to returning in the near future.
Great place to golf
This course was recommended to us while golfing at another course in the Fort Myers area. So glad that we decided to check it out. Course was the best that we played on this trip. Can’t wait to go back next year!

Great friendly service out of the pro shop. Course is well maintained with mostly wide open fairways and a few strategically placed sand traps.mmgreens were large and mostly quick.

What happened?
I play this course once or twice a year because it's pretty far away and I play with a regular group at the same club every week. That having been said, it had always been in excellent shape, regardless of time of year, and I always enjoyed the experience. What happened? The course is worn, very worn. Multiple dead spots on all fairways, new sod in some greens, turf very thin just about everywhere you hit it. This time of the year, coming into the season, this place should be pristine, but something is going on that they need to get fixed or word will get out and people won't be coming back. The people who work there are all top notch, they are most definitely NOT the problem, but the course was a MAJOR disappointment.

We have played this course for the last seven years of coming to Naples area
It was on our list of courses we enjoyed ....it is no longer on our list ...too many other courses in the area that exceeds what they have to offer

A little far out
This is a big course! Fairways and greens both have plenty of room. Played the back tees and the course was very fair and playable. Tees and fairways are a little sparse. Greens are a little slow. Course is way out there! Staff came out on 15 at 5:15 to tell us carts must be returned by 5:30. Sun goes down at 6. Would recommend if you are East of 75 or if you like to drive, otherwise stay on beach side of 75.

Love this course.We try to play there as often as we can though it’s a 55 minutes drive for us to get there.

Good Value...But..
While Panther Run is a bit of a drive from Naples proper, it is still worth the drive. The course is a great layout for golfers of varying handicaps and abilities. The practice facilities are quite extensive and the tees and greens were in excellent shape . However, the fairways have quite a bit of crabgrass and weeds in them. Easy to overlook at off-season pricing...not so easy to do so as seasonal pricing kicks in. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that they are addressing the problem either since there is no sign of the weeds having been treated or removed. If they were removed the course would rate as one of the best public tracks in the area.

Nice course but long drive out
Decent course - green complexes and sand traps were interesting and in good shape. Fairways in some places a bit sparse. The proshop attendant and all staff were great!

Great course
Great layout and greens. Fairways were starting to show signs of crabgrass outbreaks. Still though, the course is a pleasure to play. Love playing there, just wish it was closer than the 101 miles we drive to get there.

Nice Layout
Panther Run offers five sets of tees plus combination tees so every golfer should be able to play a yardage that they're comfortable with but still find challenging. The day we played was busy but the pace of play was still very good. Tees and greens were in excellent shape but the fairways did have a fair number of weeds that should be dealt with. Plenty of water on the course to have to navigate but the fairways are generous so most of it will not be in play for the mid to low handicapper. Overall a good value for the money and enjoyable track.
