About
Located in Ave Maria, Panther Run Golf Club is less than 30 minutes from Naples but it has a much more secluded feel. The course was built with a strong dedication to preserving the landscape's beautiful natural features and significant environmental resources, even as residences started being developed. An abundance of lakes and waterways characterizes the golf course, all of which are filled with alligators and other native wildlife. It is nearly impossible to play a round without spotting a gator. In addition to the 13 holes with water, there are more than 60 bunkers strategically placed throughout. The challenges are balanced by generous greens and wide-open, player-friendly fairways. Panther Run G.C. also boasts an expansive practice facility that includes five practice greens, a short game area with two sand bunkers, and an aqua driving range.

Busy Holiday
Nice wide open course. Greens a bit slow for my taste and fairways seems a bit rough. In fairness to them this is the busy “Season”. Back 9 was VERY slow until two groups ahead of us called it a day. I guess that’s normal for Monday afternoon at this course. Still a fun course and we would play again.
Worth the drive to Ava Maria
This course is a great value in a sea of overpriced Naples area courses. Lush, wide fairways, big greens and plenty of sand and water to avoid.

Course in Great Condition
Played Arrowhead, Golf Club of the Everglades, and Panther Run on recent trip to Florida. Liked Panther Run best. Course is in great condition. Greens were consistent and a reasonable speed for the average golfer. Nice wide fairways. Might have liked Golf Club of the Everglades more if the wind hadn't been blowing 20 to 25 mph. Arrowhead was overpriced compared to Panther Run.

Nice course definitely worth playing.
Relatively good shape overall. Only weak point was the SLOW greens making getting to the hole on chips and putts a virtual impossibility for my feel as I am used to fast greens.

Very nice course
This was my first time playing the course. I was paired with 3 gentlemen from Canada who were great playing companions. I've played a number of public courses in the Naples area and while it's quite a drive from southern Naples this was one of my favorites. Course is in fine condition (compared to others in the area) and the property is amazing. Lots of wildlife and plenty of gators. Greens are fairly hard and a bit slower than most. My only complaint is the staff - the starter and the rangers were not very friendly and did nothing to make you feel welcome. Regardless, I'd still recommend. For reference, I'm a 2 handicap and would recommend playing the #2 tees if you're a low handicap. Otherwise the #3 tees will work fine. A great value for Naples.

Non existent marshalling and poor starting
Low play is the scourge of modern golf. Take a leaf out World Woods, two public golf courses that get a ton of play but manage the pace and starting so well that in the many times I have played there I have never experienced a problem

Great course for a very windy day
We booked this through golfnow but it was same price as walk on. Course is in very good condition and the amenities are also great. Friendly proshop staff but the starter was very grumpy. We were fortunate to be paired with a very nice couple from Michigan...thoroughly enjoyed the round, minus the wind.

Slow play, no ranger present
Played the slowest round in a long time today. We had a 1:15 tee time, and were told we could proceed to the first tee early at 1 pm. After two holes, we caught up to the earlier groups. and waited on just about every hole the rest of the day. At no time were we approached by a ranger/player assistance person to ask them to address the situation. A 4 1/2 to 4 3/4, standing around a great deal of the time is not a fun round. Unfortunately, Three of the players said they’d never play Panther Run again. And, We all felt sorry for everyone playing behind us as we finished just shortly before sundown.

Good day and fun course
A fun day with excellent course conditions.
We were a bit concerned after reading reviews about surly starters and players assistants.
Ours today could not have been more pleasant. No issue for us. Perhaps management listened and corrected.
Nice practice facility.
4 hour 20 minute hour during peak season isn’t bad at all.
