Great Course and great staff

Living in ChampionsGate, I’ve driven by the Reunion courses so many times wishing for an opportunity to play. When I saw they were offering a few tee times on GN, I snapped one up and am I glad that I did. The Palmer course is challenging but fair. It’s in excellent condition and the greens roll nicely. The staff is very helpful, the layout of the course is beautiful and the round was near perfect.

My only hesitation in creating this review is that I don’t want to increase competition for the limited times they offer BUT fair is fair and they deserve the excellent review. I really hope they continue to offer locals an occasional chance to play.

Needswork

Palmer course in Reunion Resort was not in the best shape it seems to get a lot of play tee boxes were awful, fairways were spotty at best the greens were in desperate need of some care... the members play early and are sent out with one person in each cart. My foursome plays very fast but could not compete with the members always up our butts. It was not pleasant.. go to Kiswahili instead.... much better conditions more beautiful.....cheers.....

Reunion Palmer Course - excellent

Played first out. Staff was very supportive, friendly and respectful. The course is in impeccable condition. Greens are like carpets. The course is challenging and has lots of hilly terrain. Very enjoyable and entertaining to play. Don’t expect a low score. Just enjoy every shot!

Watson Course

For the money this course did not live up to the cost. For $175 it didn't feel worth it whatsoever. Range was beat up and starting staff was confused as to correct groups going out. Grounds crew was watering the course while we played. We had 11:40 tee time. A few holes had standing water on the greens or were soggy from the watering. Told the resort staff while on the course and no one from the golf management said a word. Played Celebration the next day and the condition of that course blew me away incomparison cafter playing Watson. I should've played Nicklaus course instead as it appeared to be in better condition tee to green than Watson. Won't play again.

Palmer is the quentisential American Parkland Design

This lovely course is a great example of American Parkland Design.

The antithesis of links golf it seeks to enhance the natural surroundings rather not then just cut through them. It is a bit “Target golf”, but really what course isn’t.

It was just aireated so putting was well off the acceptable level for a true score but a beautiful setting for a fun round of golf.

ReUnion Resort Watson Course

1:12 tee time w/ buddies. This is a typical immaculate resort course. Has spectacular views from tee boxes. Has elevation chages. Greens elevated, rolling true & fast. Expensive but had a fun round. Group Golfer offered this course for $59 so I snatched it up because only way I know of how to play ReUnion courses involves booking lodging on their premesis. At least I can say I've played it. Pro shop well stocked. Has great practice areas, range, chipping & putting greens.

The most fun of the 3 Reunion courses

This course is one you want to play at least twice in a day and one where you want to try something totally different than what you did the first time you played it. The risk reward is less penal than the Nicklaus course and way more fun to try and pull off. Hole #7 is the perfect example of that philosophy. Do you lay up to a well bunkered green or go for it with a precise bomb off the tee? Follow that up with a not so fun long par 4 on 8 and the Palmer course gives you a roller coaster of challenges.

As with the Watson course, the conditioning could have been better as there was more brown and worn out areas but being from Wisconsin, that could be ignorance where most courses are green during the summer months.

nice layout but in poor condition

The golf course is good to play but the overall appearance is somewhat disappointing, it needs some tlc. Signposts were down, GPS did not work, tees, fairways and greens looked neglected and tired.

Maybe it was the time of year but no excuses for failing to maintain to a good standard. When I played last year there was quite a bit of water about the place but that has all but gone.

Palmer Course

The Palmer course at Reunion is not your typical Florida golf course. Very hilly. This course has a great track and is well maintained. However, I like the Nicklaus and Watson courses better. The Palmer course is the shorter of the three, only running at 6,916 from the tips. Hole 7 is Reunions signature hole. It is a risk reward shot. If you are a long ball hitter, than going for the green is manageable on the short 290 yd par 4. I am a member at Reunion and have never had bad service. The guys in the pro shop are great and the starters are too. The courses are always in great shape. If you play at Reunion, I'm sure you will be back.

Fun resort course

This is a course in which you have to stay at to play. Palmer track is fun and you can have holes where you don't need the driver. #7 is a picturesque signature hole on this course.

Some greens needed a little love but overall course was in great shape.

I was playing in a 4-ball tournament and the course was backed up because of it. I'm sure Pace of Play is in good shape.

My team also won, so I will be back to the Reunion Resort. Hopefully, it will be to play another track.

Walked

Good conditioned, but a quirky layout

To start, Reunion is a fabulous resort - first class all the way. Its really a pretty place. That said, I believe this is the lesser of the 3 courses. Its short and has some pretty crazy undulations in the fairways. While it is short, its not particularly easy - fair amount of sand and water. The day we played, it poured rain all morning and the course drained quite well throughout the day. Overall, it a good facility, an OK course, but quite spendy (I paid $175).

Resort golf at its best

The Palmer course at Reunion Resort is classic resort golf. The course is fairly wide-open, fairly forgiving with not a lot of out of bounds which makes it very playable for the average golfer. You will run into a lot of bunkers and hundreds if not thousands of humps in the fairways and on the greens. My best recommendation for you, especially off of the tee, is to watch your ball until it stops rolling, it could end up anywhere off of the mounds. You can easily hit a drive down the right side of the fairway and it could end up in the left rough due to these humps and mounds everywhere. If you want an enjoyable round of golf wherr you're not going to slam your club in the ground or walk off angry this is the course for you

Best Course in Orlando!

Extremely impressed with the Reunion course (Palmer). A Group of us played and loved the huge elevation changes that you don't see much in Florida.
Excellent greens, excellent layout. Challenging but fair.
Will definitely come back to Reunion to play all 3 courses there!

Reunion's 3rd Best course

I'd rather play Watson or Nicklaus' course than Arnie's. While I like many of the holes on the course and enjoy playing a course not completely surrounded by houses... this course left me wanting more.

I don't want to completely slam the course - great greens and well maintained fairways, bunkers and teeing grounds.

The 18th hole closing hole is a disservice to golf architecture. The fairway runs out after 250 yards.... leaving me a downhill approach to an uphill green. The 11th and 12th holes are a little bland. I enjoyed my time on the course but like the rest of Reunion a lot better.
