Atypical of many Florida golf courses, RedTail Golf Club is a links-style layout dotted with 100-year-old oak trees and azaleas among its rolling green fairways. Designed by Dave Harman, who also did Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, the course features four lakes with water coming into play on the last five holes. Holes 14-18 work their way around the largest lake on the course, while the finishing hole's approach shot plays over another body of water in front of the clubhouse. Located in rural Sorrento a little more than a half hour north of Orlando, RedTail Golf Club prides itself on catering to "members only."

The design and layout is great .I played first thing in morning so pace of play was great . Almost no one is there .I had a lot of fun but I knew what to expect . Almost every course in central florida has problems with the drought conditions yet everybody still complains about it on all the reviews . This course is great considering what’s happening with the lack of rain . If you want to complain go pay $500 and every blade of grass will be green ! 😊👍

Tough course

The course is in need of some work most of the tee boxes and greens, the fairways are decent

The layout is challenging hopefully this course will recover because I would definitely make the hour and fifteen minute drive to play this course again

Course layout is amazing 10/10 they have had a bunch of rain this week so some runoff in areas but overall in pretty good shape! The greens rolled good I will definitely play again ! Played from back tees shot 79 also cart lady came around once on each 9 was great 🏌️‍♂️

Falling apart

Was nice but it’s embarrassing now.. I talked this place up and brought some out of town friends in.. I was embarrassed… this is as bad as I’ve seen it.. just awful conditions..the greens are pathetic.. get someone to run this place..

Nice Golf Course

I have played Red Tail many times & it is always a challenging course. It has gone through many ups & downs over the past few years but all in all the course was in decent shape. The greens were pretty fast but well maintained. The fairways were decent. Stay out of the ruff if you don't want to lose a bunch of balls. :-)

Played course back in February and conditioning has declined a bit. Fairways are in OK condition, (not great) some tee boxes and greens were not up to standards for this course. Would play if I can get Hot Deal rate but would not pay regular price in current condition. Any further decline and I would hesitate to spend my golf money. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
