RedTail Golf Club
About
Atypical of many Florida golf courses, RedTail Golf Club is a links-style layout dotted with 100-year-old oak trees and azaleas among its rolling green fairways. Designed by Dave Harman, who also did Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, the course features four lakes with water coming into play on the last five holes. Holes 14-18 work their way around the largest lake on the course, while the finishing hole's approach shot plays over another body of water in front of the clubhouse. Located in rural Sorrento a little more than a half hour north of Orlando, RedTail Golf Club prides itself on catering to "members only."

Great course my favorite
The course doesn’t drain well so many areas off the fairways were under water witch made me lose a few balls.. other then that the course was in great condition except the 18th green.
Awesone
I play this course today and I enjoy it...fairways, greens (except #18) and maintance are awesone. Beautifully course.
Great Time with Friends
Had a great time not too many people in front of us. Pace of play was excellent, greens were not as fast as its been in the past, but it was not bad! will definitely come back!!
RedTail Is Back
I have always enjoyed the beauty and the layout of Red tail Golf Course. The staff at Red tail are great people and I have always enjoyed dealing with them. Approximately 4 months ago it was heartbreaking their greens were destroyed by a fungus, that being said I played there three days ago and they are back and I am absolutely thrilled because they are a great Golf Course kudos to the staff and maintenance workers that brought it back.
Just go play it!
This is my second time playing this course. First time was around 5 years ago and I've always looked forward to returning. The course is in really good condition and heading for an "excellent" rating as soon as the obvious ongoing repairs and improvements have been completed. Some soggy fairways here and there, because of all the rain, so using the cart path is highly recommended, and there are signs all over the fairways to remind you. If you've never played this course before or haven't in a long time, just remember to bring your "A" game and a few extra balls. This is a shot-maker's course. Lots of water, tight and undulating fairways and other challenges make this a FUN course to play. To top off the fun, the greens are in great shape, even though they've been punched. This course is worth every minute and mile of the drive to get there. Will be back!
Good condition.
Troubles with greens early in the year are mostly resolved. Greens are slow but good grass coverage. Fairways and tee boxes in good condition. Still beats playing at black bear and the jerk owner.
The greens are back. The rest... on it's way back.
Everyone writing critical reviews of this course didn't play it 5 months ago, when the greens were mud. The course played fine. The greens rolled slow(ish) but true. Fairways were cut. Rough was penal but you can find the ball. Bunkers have small stones in them, but so does Bella Collina's. No drink girl on Labor Day was a drag, but all in all, a great, challenging day of golf.
A Dying Classic Course
Red Tail was once a must-play in the greater Orlando area but its allure is sinking as quick as the gopher trails dotting its greens and aprons today. Shoddy fairways, neglected tee boxes, and the industrial sand filling its traps is more appropriate to use as mortar for the over constructed housing rush taking place on its once lovely grounds. Driving range and putting greens are segregated members to non-members and the difference is obvious and off-putting for the millions of golfers that visit Orlando each year. Pay less and enjoy more great golf by skipping this one.
Narrow
No good score card of the course layout like others.Lot of difficult layout course with the 18th hole is the worst I have seen to the green,it is not a FAIR 2nd shot green.I will never golf hare again.
