Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Great Staff
Greens are always slick and fast.. course is difficult and plays longer than you think because of the elevation changes and constant wind. Plenty of forced carries and you need every club in your bag.
The staff is great and always accommodating. I recommend the course highly. Everyone is so friendly. Thanks guys and will see you soon!

The course is in good condition including tees, fairways and greens but the rough is very rough so keep it in the fairway!

Good course - need to mow out side perimeters - very hard to find ball
Rough Shape
The course has went down hill since its opening. Currently the fairways for the most part are rough. There are heavy erosion issues throughout course. The fairway bunkers are not taken care of. Handful of greens have bare spots. Driving range facility is in really bad shape. Needs some major TLC.
Still needs work
Lot of washouts and rough spots off tee boxes and in some fairways.
Course conditions
Need to fix washouts on #11 and a couple of others. Lots of rough spots on fairways and in front of tee boxes. Better shape than a year ago.
Great little course!
Course is in good conditions for this time of year in Florida. It was a little wet good compared to other places. Fairways and green pretty good. Pace of play excellent for a weekday. 3 hours was awesome. My only complaint is traps are pretty bad and rough is very high and needs to be mowed in some areas. This course is defiantly worth playing and it won’t disappoint. Plenty of jugs of water out there too.
Good layout, but conditions could be better
Nice open layout, conditions could be better. Greens were very slow.
Pace of play
Great course, pace of play on a Friday around 1pm was so terrible , 3 hours to play the back nine, they don't tell you that they have skins games going on and you can't go against the members, they rule the course!!

The course is great for the price and the staff are all very helpful and nice.
Turning Around
The recent rains have really helped this course. They've always had the best greens for the money, but now the fairways and green complexes are more lush and green. There have also been structural repairs on bridges, etc. There are still lots of blemishes, but it is hard to beat the value. Just hit range balls elsewhere...
