About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Need a little of everything
The greens are quite fast and in good condition, but everything else is extremely lacking in maintenance.

All courses are in need of water including eagle dunes.Traps need work as well as some tee boxes. Few holes needed cleaner cut holes.

Course needs alot of help, pace of play was not good.

Too many people on course and no one to stop a groups of five
Too many people on course and ran into a group of five. That shouldn’t even be allowed. Took 2 hours to play through five holes. I left early because I didn’t want to wait any longer.

What has happen
This use to be a really rice course to play with great greens! Sorry to say, not anymore, tee boxes and fairways are horrible, sand traps are even worse and the greens are average at best. It will be awhile before I return until course conditions improve a lot.

Hopefully it gets better someday
I really hope this course gets in better shape someday. Right now it's like playing in a cow pasture except for the greens. The greens are putable but that's about it, nothing to write home about. I don't feel like it's worth 45 bucks, maybe 35 in it's current condition.
