About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Great greens
Really excellent layout and some of the best greens you’ll play on. The condition of the fairways and tee boxes are good. The only drawback was that the snack bar only had egg salad sandwiches available on the day we played. I highly recommend this course.

Good.. but not great
Bunkers are fixed and in good shape but fairways need some work. Greens were good. Get there early because it get packed after 2pm.

Rough shape
The overall shape of the course is not very good. You can’t tell the rough from the fairway on most holes. No water throughout the course. Staff was very friendly and let me head out a little early and were very nice when I returned my cart.
The greens were in good shape though. Nothing bad to say about them at all. The course needs some work but has potential.

A Cow pasture with greens
Horribble - if you like to hit off grass.
Except for the greens, the course is a sand bed with weeds.

Needs TLC…and water!
Love the layout, however the overall conditions need improvement quickly. Greens are in good shape, tee boxes and fairways need improvement. If you’re going to compete with other courses with the same price point the conditions must be similar. I like the course, not the sad conditions it is in.

Poor conditions
This has been one of our favorite courses in the past. Last played there in February. Sad to say, in less than a month the condition of the course has gone drastically downhill. Tee boxes are now pretty beat up. Fairways are full of crabgrass. Most shots you had to move your ball off a clump of crabgrass. Far too many bad bounces and rolls because of it. We love the layout as it's always challenging but it isn't worth what they are charging. Won't be back for a long time.

Need water
Members of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Greens were very good. Fairways were not good. Very dry and not much grass. Tees were not very good

Eagle Dunes is a Fun Track. Fairways need water. Staff is Friendly. Greens are Solid!

Unexpected
Played this course maybe a dozen times over the years. Recently, especially this day the fairways are nit being taken care of. Greens have always been good. Love Tif-Eagle greens. True putting. There are some difficult holes that course management is essential. Grabbed some lunch after first nine about 1:30PM. Out of hotdogs? Had a Ham & cheese 5 " sub. Not much Ham or cheese. Around $8.00. Price of play good. You will be on some sand all day. Miss the fairways there are very large sandy waste bunkers. Some 100 yds in length or more.

Eagle Dunes
Played here this morning and was really disappointed with course condition. I have played this course several times each year over many years and the course conditions have really deteriorated. Tee boxes need grass, bunkers were good, fairways were a mix of grass and weeds, and the greens were pretty good and rolled true, except green fringe mixed with weeds. The back nine is a mess and they were aerating and discing today with no notice or discount. The course really has a nice layout and is fun. This is not a $52 (weekday morning) golf course, maybe $30. This is was always a good quality course and hope they recover.

Course has gone down hill and I wouldn't recommend.
This was one of our favorite golf courses to play, however, the course fairways are absolutely in horrible conditions and are unplayable. The green are in excellent condition but the rest of the golf course is terrible. Can't believe the management let this golf course go down hill so fast.

Excellent greens
The greens were great. The overall course layout is interesting, it is pretty open so no lost balls.
The fairways were scruffy with lots of weeds and tufts of grass but we found some decent lies and had an enjoyable round. We got round in 3.5 hours.

Cow pasture
I have walked in nicer cow pastures off the tee you could not tell the difference between fairways and rough greens were decent would not recommend for 20 dollars and will never go back
