About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

The course was dried out. Very rough grounds. Like off reading. Greens were good. Needs watering and work on rough grounds

Condition
Greens were great. Fairways not well kept. Sparse grass. Probably a winter problem.

Greens in good shape fairways and tee boxes are a bit patchy staff is always courteous and accommodating .

Great Deal and conditions
The greens were really slick. Fairways have had some work done which has improved the course. Rain is this place worst enemy due to the elevation changes but the staff works really hard to keep the runoff areas repaired. Regardless the course is always fun and playable. A great value for your buck. The staff are a great group of guys and treat you super. Always a pleasure to play here. I will be back soon.

Course looks nice online, pictures are deceiving.
First up, front office was friendly. Pulled up the starter was on his phone the entire time. Then, Players were backed up from first tee box. The greens were decent, but needed a lot of work. The fairways were horrible, tons on holes. After heading back to the back nine, we were even more backed up with 3 groups. Come to find out, there was a traveling group ahead with several players not moving with pace. We ended up skipping 15-17 since it was so backed up.

Starting to fall apart
Eagle Dunes has always been proud of having fast and true greens. Unfortunately, they’re not putting the same care in the fairways and tee boxes. Most tee boxes didn’t have grass and the fairways are starting to show disrepair. It’s too bad. This is a challenging course and I enjoy playing it. I hope they put some more TLC on the fairways and tee boxes.

Eagle Dunes
Great layout with some challenging holes. Some fairways could use some tlc. Pace was initially slow. We got stuck behind a shotgun start tournament. Last players finished 12 and the pace improved dramatically.

Fairways not good

Course was so dry. Greens were fast and good. Very rough, as if you were off reading. Golf carts take a beating.

Many fairways were very rough
Several fairways ha deep dry ruts . The greens were generally acceptable.

Terrible condition
We know it is winter but the course was horrible. Your star rating needs to be changed!

Course is burned out
If you like playing tight lies in the fairway you will love this place! Hit the ball in the fairway and it was like playing off of hardpan in west Texas. Very little, if any, grass growing in the fairway.
Also, took us over 4 and a half hours to play because of two super slow foursomes in front of us. No course ranger to be seen.
