About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Eagle Dunes
Greens were very quick but receptive. Fairways were good but rough could have used some improvement.
Layout was varied and fair.
Pace was slow. Foursome in front of us must have thought they were on the PGA tour. Marshall could have helped but was invisible. I would play again

We had a threesome and played an 1105 tee time. We were able to tee off a little early and it worked well for us.

Still Loving it
I always enjoy playing this course. It is always in good conditions and the greens are nice and fast, (not for the faint of heart.) Staff are always in good spirits, and I have really never been backed up where it gets annoying. It's a course you should try when you're in the area.

I’ve been playing this course consistently for over 15 years. It has always been one of my favorite places to play. The conditions have always been consistent and the layout is very adequate. The greens are above average. The staff is friendly and professional. I have played 100s of rounds here and Eagle Dunes has become my Go To course.

Great open course in Sorrento
I have played eagle dunes several times. It is old is decent shape. This is post Hurricane Ian and with the exception of a few “extra” water hazards (formerly sand traps), The course is in relatively great shape! The staff is always friendly and I would give the amenities five stars except that they don’t offer a full bar. Otherwise a fantastic place to play with great people!

Greens were really slick. Tee boxes and fairways were great. The rough was a bit overgrown but with all the rain of late its hard to cut everything without tearing up the course. A ball in the fairway and on a quick putting surface is all I need. The staff is super and customer service oriented. The waste areas have had a lot of work done on them. They look great. Still hard to get out of though. I will be back soon.

Course in very good shape
I have played here a dozen times at least and found the course in the best condition yet. It wasn’t crowded and we had an easy time getting a tee time. Check it out you won’t be sorry.
