About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Nice scenic course. Very good pace of play. Friendly staff.
Always a great choice!
This course is always in pretty good shape. The greens recovered very good from aeration. Another 2 weeks they will roll pure! The only thing that I wish would be improved are the driving range balls. They are several years old.

Nice Layout, good price!!
Very enjoyable round, nice layout, course was in nice condition given it’s the middle of summer. Staff is excellent, and the course layout is enjoyable, some definite birdie holes and some holes that require quality shots!!

I staff is continually exceeding my customer service expectations. I always find the the course in very playable condition and work being done to improve it.
The course has 5 sets of tees so every skill level can be accommodated. Plenty of practice areas to work on your game. The course is layed out nicely providing nice vistas of Lake County.
It is one of the more frequent places I play. Its not overpriced. Great value and a great team running the course. See you soon!

Could Be A Great!
Not many courses in Orlando Metro have more character than Eagle Dunes.
Pros:
Greens - even punched were fast and true. Tons of attitude.
Layout - remarkable layout that forces you to hit your shot. Plenty of elevation changes, blind shots, and forced carries
Cons:
Eyesore - not enough money to maintain and locals take no pride in the gem the course could be.
Rough - isn't rough, just full of ant hills. Everything outside the fairway plays like waste bunker. And honestly, the fairways aren't great.
But all in all, great course for group skins games and to get an honest assessment of your game. Stay on the fairway and you'll likely be OK.

Pollyanna Returns
Found the course great from tee to green. The greens have sped up nicely since last week when I was here. Getting plenty of rollout on your drives. The pace got a little slow after the 5th hole but its a great course and a great value so plenty of people come take advantage of that value. Still finished the round in 3 hours and 15 minutes which is good. Had a great time. The staff is super here!
I love the challenge of the layout. The forced carries and tricky pin placements make you use every club in your bag. I will be back soon.

We played on one of the hottest days of the year so far, and the course was pretty open. The greens had been recently aerated but still putted well. Staff is always friendly. If this course was a bit closer I’d play it all the time.

Nice and Close to Home

Very good value for the $
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were plugged a few weeks back but are recovering nicely. Enjoyed this course and will return.

Lacking Fit & Finish
The course is in fair condition. Not average or good. Just fair. Mowing, trimming and weeding are needed. It looks like they are working on the fairway weed issue. Hopefully they can bring it back to decent shape.

Course was great from tee to green. The greens had just been punched but were fine. Two putts, pick up and go to the next hole. Crabgrass is under control. Getting plenty of roll out in the fairway. The rough is fair except for the deep stuff and thats your fault for putting the ball in it. The staff is always super nice and customer service oriented. I will be back soon!.

Nice greens.. Tee boxes and fairways are a little thin on grass but course is nice layout. Rainy season will help.
