About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Fun course with elevation changes
There are pros and cons associated with this review. I play this couse about 2 a month.
Pro's,
Greens are always in good shape
Pace of play if you get out early
Fairways are nice for the most part.
Cons
Bunkers. I couldn't tell you the last time they've been raked. There are none next to the bunkers or on the carts.
Rough is being taken over in a lot of areas by weeds.
Bring your A game
Good course layout. Just 1 hole with a forced carry. Need to stay on the fairway. Balls get lost in the second cut of rough. Glad I was paired with a group that played the course before. Sometimes not obvious where to hit your tee shot. Good greens roll true and quick. Worth the drive.

Mixed review
Greens were nice and fast, some of the best I’ve played in the area. Fairways were just mowed, lost two balls under clumps of cut grass. Rough and sand traps are in really bad shape.

Great layout
This course is one of the best in the Orlando area. The layout is great and the greens are in super condition. Some reviews mention poor upkeep, and if you’re looking for “Disney courses” type of upkeep you won’t find that. The fairways and tees are just fine, but go for the greens they are some of the best around.

Good Condition
The golf course is in good condition for the most part. The greens are fast and true. The fairways are good most places with only a few bare spots here and there. Pace of play was decent when we played. We had an enjoyable around of golf.

Still Loving it
I have played Eagle Dunes a number of times and you can never go wrong with this hidden Jem. It's always in great condition for a neighbor course and the staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. I bring all my golfing buddies to Eagle Dunes anytime I can get a chance to book a tee time. Keep up the good work guys I do appreciate it.
