About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Nice greens.. Tee boxes and fairways are a little thin on grass but course is nice layout. Rainy season will help.
Great value
Course set up is challenging due to fairway bunkers. Tee boxes and greens were in good condition. Fairways had excessive weeds that hindered quite a few shots during round. Fairway bunkers were not maintained which also hindered some shots. Very friendly staff with no pace of play issues.

Good greens
Best part of the course are the greens. Always in good shape and pretty quick. Need to sand and roll the fairways. To many bumps and pot holes.

Eagle Dunes GREAT SLICK GREENS.
First time playing this course in more than 7 years. Greens are pure, firm and fast. Lot of fun but challenging especially when the wind kicks up. Early Memorial Day tee-time. Finished in a relaxed 3:35 hours for the round.

Good
The greens were very good. Running about 9 to 10. The fairways were decent for the most part, a lot of places need grass and there are a lot of places where you’re hitting off of pack down hard pan that looks like it has grass. Sad to see that some courses are not keeping up with the maintenance as they should. The course is good to play but not great. I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price, but got a decent deal on tee off.

Fast greens
The course was in fair condition. Some t boxes were short of grass. Overall pretty decent. Great pace of play. Greens were very fast but true. Good value and lots of nature to see.

Course has been better
Started off the morning with the starter (teenage young man) having ear phones in playing a game on his phone. I pulled up to the tee and startled him with my question about being next to tee off and who we were paired with. He had no clue and pulled a twosome from a later tee time that had asked him a question.
Fairways and rough have seen better days. Pace of play right at 5 hours. Didn’t know what the hold up was other than the foursome ahead was taking marginally more time on the green . I’m playing elsewhere for the summer and will revisit in fall.

Pleasant surprise
I decided to give Eagle Dunes a try after reading some of the reviews. Had an 8:00am time and played a threesome in 3.5 hours. Most fairways are a bit spotty so we rolled them on the fairways but greens are in excellent shape. Once we start getting some consistent summer rains, fairway grass should grow and course should be perfect. Definitely worth $45 as is. Very fair course and nice layout. Will play again soon.

Nice Greens at Eagle Dunes
Because of the Hot Deal I got a good price. Not a lot of golfers on the course, so I played alone and played very fast. The greens were fast and relatively smooth, much better than what I have seen at other courses in the area.
The course layout is only average, but it was overall an enjoyable round.

Fun course and good value
The greens were in amazing shape! I played early before the crowds so it was 2 1/2 hours to play solo. Very enjoyable round for about $50.

Pace of play
You have a course ranger use him to keep pace of play on track. They drove around and did nothing to have group keep up with the group ahead of them. Also suggest that keep times promised by golf now. Showed up and they had my time as 20 minutes later. Had large group of players goi g out and they were betting putting out 1footers slowing play on Saturday morning. Bad
