About
Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

The pace is always bad
I always get frustrated with the pace at this golf course. Every once in a while I give it another try only to regret coming again.
This time, we had a foursome + a child playing ahead of us. There were 2-3 groups backed up behind them including us. We called for the ranger twice but no one came. Finally, they let us play through on hole 13. We were on 16 tee box by the time they played 14.
For the price, the course conditions and pace makes it not worth playing.

Family outing
Was excited to play , greens are awesome but rest of course has serious issues. Tons of invasive grass, course in sub par to very rough shape compared to other courses we played within 10 mile for same $$ .

Disappointment
We were-a. twosome and they allowed an eight Person tournament to go out ahead of us. That explains the slow play. The group I’ve had of us took unimaginable times on the green. No one was there to encourage speed of play
We waited on every shot on the fairway and every shot off the tee. This ruined the game for us

Great course beautifully laid out, very friendly staff!
Had a great day at Eagle Dunes…beautiful course, perfect greens and fairways. The only glitch was the owner was playing in front of us with 5 other people, so six all together!! Needless to say it slowed the pace for us…showed a lack of respect on his part

Great Fast Greens
The greens are always in great shape. Getting the speed down is important from the jump.. The fairways were in good shape. Plenty of grass but a few run off areas on the periphery. The rough was rough. That’s why they call it the rough so stay out of there. Eagle Dunes is consistently playable with the greens, fairways and tee boxes above expectation. Great value . The staff from the GM on down are friendly and helpful. I’ll keep coming back!
