Eagle Dunes Golf Club in Sorrento sprawls across rolling elevation changes that aren't typically found on central Florida courses. The course also claims to have the area's truest putting surfaces. The layout stretches to just over 7,024 yards from the back tees. Long hitters will be pleased about the opportunity to grip it and rip it but ball placement is an important factor. The golf course is punishing even if you're only slightly errant. The vast sand traps seem like you're playing across a desert and the occasional water hazard comes into play as well. The wide, player-friendly fairways help to balance the challenges of the golf course. Since opening in 2003, Eagle Dunes Golf Club has garnered a strong following amongst locals and has earned the distinction of being one of Gold Digest's "Best Places to Play."

Extra
Greens in great shape. Only problem was pace of play..Twosome, single, twosome, twosome etc. Didn't put groups together.. When we made turn they put people out the back in front of us. Three groups. We had four groups on the tenth hole.
The greens are in great shape and fast. The rest of the course was in good shape but could use some more fairway grass.
Good Value
The course was in decent shape. The greens were good and ran fast but true. There were some bare spots in some of the fairways but overall in good shape.
Always a good experience
Eagle Dunes remains one of our go to courses year round. Great people, nice layout and in better shape than most courses around this time of year.
Needs some work
Over all the course was in ok shape no Dead spots on greens but plenty of ball marks a someone had hard spikes on there shoes playing in front of me . Fairways are ok not terrible but has its issues. But overall it was fun
Greens, greens, greens!
I love fast greens normally, but I believe they are as fast as I have ever played. I can attribute 10 strokes to 3 putts that should not have happened.
Fun in spite of that.
Needs work
The last time I played this course was 5 years ago, I stopped playing it because it was going downhill, someone told my it was getting back to it glory years, not even close! The only thing good about the course is it has new carts, riding down the fairways will jar your insides from all the bouncing. Greens were good.
Great for the price
First time playing here, but overall the course was great. Greens were nice and fast, fairway was decent. Only downside was not being able to find my ball in the rough, other than that the course was amazing!
Course conditions Improved
The course is in pretty good shape compared to last year when i played here but appears to be slipping again. Staff , Please dont let that happen as it is an enjoyable course !
So much better
I played Eagle Dunes about 1 year ago and it was really in bad shape. I just played it and the greens were very receptive and Fast(so much better) More water than normal but very playable.
Slow Pace but it was a Saturday
They started us 15 minutes late; the pace was slow but it was a Saturday.
By the time we came by the clubhouse after the first 9 holes; the kitchen ran out of hot dogs and egg rolls.
The only bathrooms on the course were ports pots.
But the course was well kept and a nice challenge; staff were friendly.
