Fleming Island Golf Club
About
The Golf Club at Fleming Island has a diverse landscape that allows for two distinctly different nines. The front nine of the golf course is wide open with waste areas and wetlands to create a classic links feeling. In contrast, the back nine was carved from dense forests, giving a more secluded atmosphere. There are sand bunkers strategically placed across the rolling landscape and water comes into play throughout. The fairways on this golf course are misleading, they are not as tight as they seem from the tees. Although the Golf Club at Fleming Island can be a challenge, there are five sets of tees to accommodate all skill levels.

play was slow
No starter. Asked cart girl to tell pro shop about slow play. Didn't see a coarse monitor until hole 17. Evidently, they cater to slow play. Took 5 hours to play 18 holes. This coarse should play in 4 hours or less. It is my belief that coarse would make more money if they would monitor coarse and keep play to 4 hours or less. No excuse for taking 5 hours to play when the parking lot was less then quarter full.
Fun Course but be careful
I’ve always liked this course but they resort to cart path only if someone spills a beer. The course was wet today but the fairways were getting far more damage from people not filling their divots because of the cart path only rule than if they’d just let us drive out to the ball. We teed off at 8:30 and by 10:00 most of the course was safe for carts. It’s no wonder no one was there. If you’re planning to play here, think again if it sprinkles the night before.
Wet Wet
Great course for the price. Was extremely wet, rained , weather was terrible. it was the weather not the course. I play here ALOT
greens are GREAT
course was a little wet because of the rain, but overall in good shape.
Wet but still fun
A little soggy from the recent rains, but still a great time on a challenging but fair course
Wet course
Course was still wet and was designated cartpath only. Pace of play was slow. Took about 4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes .
Greens are rolling
After so much Rain the course was in pretty good shape. The Greens are rolling the fairway are hit and stick.
One and done.
No grass in fairways. Washed out unplayable areas around most greens. Need chiropractor visit after riding cart on paths full of ruts and potholes. Starter was useless. Cart girl did her job. Once was enough for this overpriced joke.
Average Public Course
I booked a 'hot deal' for this course since I have never played there before. I was a single who paired up with a couple other on the first tee for the round. I found the course - overall - in decent-enough shape with the fairways well maintained and the greens running pretty true and somewhat quick. I was disappointed in the condition of the tee boxes though as the majority of them were very threat bare of most any vegetation.
Good course even in not so great weather
A friend and I played mid-morning into the afternoon. It had rained the night before, so the range was not open when we got there to warm up. (yeah, that's my excuse.) Besides being saturated and muddy, the course was in great shape. The greens were fast but in great condition, even after a quick shower slowed us down to seek cover on the 11th hole. It was a great time on a nice course.
Fleming Island Golf Course
Great course in good condition. Staff is very friendly and I always enjoy this course.
Course challenging, Greens very good
not easy, but challenging Golf course. Not crowded, Th ecourse is in a good shape, regarding to the time of the year. excellent greens
Will definitely be back
Can only say good things. Fairways were great. Rough was very playable. Greens were terrific. Loved the course
Great Time
I needed to get out to test my lower back problem.
I arrived very early for my tee time, but Sean allowed me to go out right away, as the course wasn't very crowded. Course was in good shape and played in 3 hours. I recommend this course to anyone that is looking for a great golf experience.
Nice course change the flags!
This is wonder course love playing here, but have a hard time figuring out the pin position. Go back to the red white and blue flags or paint the balls on the flags red white and blue. The tee boxes on par 3’s are ragged need grass don’t like teeing off on dirt!
Need a ranger out in course to speed up foursomes. Price was different on websites (misleading). Bartender was busy but very helpful and friendly to everybody. Clubhouse is in need of a remodel. Still my favorite course!
Don’t allow fivesomes on Saturday!
I love this course but very disappointed they allowed 5 people to play together! They would not let my three some to play through. Called club house and they did nothing! What happened to Golf etiquette?
Me and a friend played on nov.10.I have played almost every semi private to public course in the jacksonville area except fleming island for what reason idk.We where super impressed with the practice facilities, and even more impressed with the course conditions, and layout.Only minor complaint was the greens where slower than they looked mainly because of the grain going uphill. We will be back this weekend and are really amped to get back
