Fleming Island Golf Club

I real gem of s course offering challenging shot values and short game choices .... Tee boxes and greens recovering from wet weather were very grainy and spotty in areas . . Fairways are good ....

For some reason, some of the fairways were brown.
Otherwise a great day on a fun course.

Course in bad condition, weeds close to greens, green in poor condition.
Course very wet playing off wet mud on the fairway, only lush grass was in the rough.
Waste of time and money.
Course should have not been open in such condition.
I stopped play after 4 holes as I was adding to the damage

This course isn't in the shape that it used to be, but is still of solid quality. I noticed quite a few overgrown areas in the rough, many washouts in waste areas and bunkers, and some crab grass invading the Bermuda in the fairways. My guess is that this is due to the new management with Raulerson and the ridiculous amount of rain we've received this summer. I played CC of OP quite a few times years ago and the course conditions now seem to be descending to that level: respectable but not great. Ultimately, I would say there just seems to be an absence of attention to detail like there used to be at FI. For instance, the range looked pretty dilapidated (the club holders were cheap and rusted metal) and the old ball machine was sitting there rotting away even though it's no longer in use. With all of this being said, it's still my favorite course to play when I make it back home.

Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday round of golf even being paired with an extra golfer! Course was in great shape!!

very challenging, will eat your lunch if you are having a bad day but if not you can score a descent score!

Staff, inside and out, very friendly and polite. Welcoming would be a good word.
Course in good shape. Tees, fairways and greens. Range gets quite a bit of use and it shows. Would not join range club.
Fun layout, course in good shape and nice staff. All the things you want in a golf course.

Played on a stormy day, but very satisfied overall. Will play again. Course was in great shape despite a lot of heavy rain for the past few days.

Fleming Island is always a fun place to play. Greens right now are about as best they've ever been.
Can't beat facilities and a friendly staff always ready to take care of you.

The Golf Club at Fleming Island offers a good course for players of all skill levels. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all in good (B+ or higher) shape. A few greens may have a bare spot or two. Practice areas are also well maintained. Pro shop personnel are courteous and professional. A beverage cart makes regular trips around the course. Pace of play is on par with other courses I've played.

The greens were way too full of sand. The cups had huge lips around them were putts would severely move left or right. If I had known this I would have not played.

The course had two small tournaments and really couldn't get it organized. The starter disappeared and there was a forty minute gap when no one teed off. It was backed up bad.

First thing that happens to you is when you pull in to parking lots BOBBY TWO BUCKS cart boy assaults you. You park the car and he pulls up right behind you and tells you to open the trunk so he can get you clubs. Today while I went into pay my golfing partner was getting things out of his car when he turns around Bobby is going thru my bag when asked what he was doing he said he was looking for BEER. My partner then told him that I did not drink and probably would not like him going thru my bag.

The course is in pretty good shape. The greens have a layer of sand on them right now but are still rolling fairly true. There weren't many groups out on a Tuesday around noon so I zipped around the course in about 2 hours.

This course has a friendly atmosphere and pretty good condition for the price. This round lasted only three holes due to a severe thunderstorm

Beautiful day for golf. Pace of play was great and the course was in good shape. Front nine and back nine are very different which provides a nice challenge. Shot makers course for the back. Would play again.

Course was in good condition. Spring time things are looking great on most courses. Greens were very very slow could use a mowing but overall great play. Tough narrow fairways. Sand and water everywhere.

Very nice course despite my "L's". Staff was great. Wife and I played 18 in 3 hrs. Would play again!

I'm disappointed in the reviews I read about this course. 75-80% were wrong. First and foremost unless you know we're this course is good luck finding it the directions you get are wrong. The course needs to updated the phone numbers. The overall course was in grate shape so I'm no going to complain to much the fairways were plush, the greens were green all of them. The greens were forgiving and SLOW you have to be aggressive on your putts. The yardage is off on about 4 holes, the pace of play was terrible on a day the staff notified me, At the turn that it was a slow day. The staff is a lil friendly and the club house is nice the layout of the course is definitely the main attractions.
