About
Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club is a Scottish links-style layout that is routed through sparkling lakes and carefully preserved conservation areas. The challenging layout features narrow tree-lined fairways and water hazards on all 18 holes. The front nine is short and tight, which contrasts nicely with the longer and more open back nine. Overall though, the golf course is not particularly long by modern standards. It is a shot-maker's course, requiring both accuracy and skilled iron play. The course has a challenging finishing hole that sums up the best elements of the course. This par-4 is a sharp dogleg right with a slew of bunkers and a pond to reckon with. The hole borders a nature preserve, making it the prettiest and most challenging hole on the course.

Great shape
The course was outstanding. Tough course. Water, sand everywhere, but we had a great time. Price was right through Golfnow. The course wasn't very busy so pace of play was not an issue.
Bring an extra sleeve of balls and enjoy!
Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club
Course was a excellent find. Was looking for a club that I had never played and found this gem in San Antonio FL. Wasn't sure what to expect based on reviews I had read, but was pleasantly surprised. For a Florida course to have REAL grass in the fairways was a find. Water on almost every hole but unless you hit the ball a mile, most was not in play. Greens were VERY FAST.
There was a 5 person team in front of us and were only 2 people in our group. So we were unable to play the back 9holes. So we played the front nine again.
Very nice track.
VeryVery nice track, wide and open fairways means more balls stay in play. Fast large greens with mostly minor breaks I found. Will return.
Disappointing
This course has a very nice layout and at one point was probably very nice. Unfortunately it has not been maintained. Weeds growing in the bunkers. Fairways crab grass on some holes. They are replacing turf now so maybe it will come back but a$35-40 round.
Overrated
This is not a 5* golf course as advertised. Tees are mixed grasses as are fairways, greens and the rest of the course. Bunkers are not routinely treated,ie dragged and fluffed. They were crusty and unkempt. There were numerous areas in the fairways, alongside cart paths, and around the greens in need of TLC. Price on GolfNow made the disappointment I felt bearable.
Fun Track!
Although it was only 6,000 yards from the tips. Course layout challenged us. Lots of narrow fairways with water hazards on both sides. Greens were still recovering from aeration but rolled at a good speed for summer conditions in Florida. Tees and Fairways were great! Bunkers were below average but we’ve had a lot of rain in the last 2 weeks. We’ll definitely be back!
