super condition
Great course with friendly staff as well as members.
Hope to play again as soon as possible.
Where's the water?
We teed off at 3 pm on a very warm Saturday, the course was in excellent shape, all staff were friendly, helpful and conscientious. However, there was no beverage service, even though we were told there would be until 5pm. Two of the three water containers were empty...no cart service, no on course water = extreme overheating and dehydration. No course marshal to monitor pace of play; the foursome ahead of us was very slow (3 holes open in front of them), never waved up, or let faster groups (twosomes and foursomes) play through, all groups waited 5-7 minutes on every tee and every shot. very, very slow and uncomfortable round.
Wide open fairways
I had never played this course. Got a good price thru GolfNow. Wide open fairways, and easy to see where to hit it off the tee. Played in less than 4 hours as a two some. Course conditions were good, greens a little chewed up with ball marks, but generally good to putt on. Interesting layout, and even with many homes along the course I did not feel hemmed in by them. It was a hot day and there was sufficient water every few holes. My only complaint was that you do not go by the Clubhouse at the turn, and there was no snack bar, or it was not open, on the back nine. There was a softdrink machine, but nowhere to get ice or anything else. It would have been helpful to know this before teeing off.
Mothers Day Golf
My wife & I played Sunday 5/11/2014. It was windy, gusty, but good weather temp wise. Mothers palyed FREE! Very nice course, that my wife really enjoys.
franks
fairways lush, greens hard and fast, loved it. drive it 250 and have a short iron in.
Punched Greens?
Play this course several times a year and really like it. The only problem is there should be some kind of notification or symbol online when booking a course that recently punched their greens.
One of theBest Courses on the Hwy 65 corridor
Of the courses in the Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln area it is one of my favorites. Challenging but fair.
this course is always in great condition
I have never had an issue with this course, the staff is great, very friendly very helpful, one of my top 3 favorite courses in the Sacramento region.
Great value and challenging course
Lincoln Hills Orchard is very challenging course and you should play the tees appropriate for your handicap. Pace of play was very good and course was in good condition.
This course has great variety of looks at each hole
I like the fact that each hole is very different with rolling terrain not flat. Challenging but fair
Not a course to walk
All greens on both 18 hole course's were recently sanded. Maybe that was discounted opportunity tee time. Would have been nice to know prior to play. 5 hour plus round due to slow play up ahead caused us to miss happy hour food specials by 2 minutes (no exceptions) can you believe it?
Nice course
Has challenging and easy holes, fun to play... Greens are nice and not too fast... Great Par 3's
NOT worth the $'s....
This used to be one of my favorite course...NOT ANYMORE! The course was a muddy mess, dead grass in all the wrong places. The greens were unpredictable, hairy, and rough in overall condition. For the cost -- where is the $'s going? -- not worth the effort...
Course in very good condition.
I have played this course several times in the past, pace is usually very good, course is in very good condition, and when using the GolfNow discount prices, it is a very good deal!
Needs Some Work
Played on a 100+ degree day and every water bucket was empty...no marshals...saw cart person twice in 5+ hours...starter pushed groups off without any type of break...was a 3 group back up on the 2nd tee....2-somes....3-somes...5-somes...didnt really matter...group in front of us didnt have golf attire(basketball shorts and tank tops)...one had no shirt...classy!
Liked the higher rough and firmer greens. Made the course a bit more challenging. Greens rolled nice but a little slow.
The course was in great shape with higher than average rough and firmer than average greens compared to other course in the area. The greens rolled true which made for a very enjoyable round. Only complaint is that the flag poles are fat and hollow metal poles and when I hit my approach into number 8 with a sand wedge it hit midway up the pole and bounced back 35'. Who knows, but a different style pole, maybe a 10' putt and a chance at 68 instead of 69. LOL
simply fabulous
Great condition. Value for the money, excellent! I would say this would not disappoint anyone.
Great course!
A little tighter than the Lincoln Hills Orchard course, excellent condition year round. Elevation changes, good sand, moderate to quick greens with slopes and bowls. Overall excellent for the money (played during twilight).
Challenging, yet fair enough for all players.
The most difficult aspect of this course seemed to be the greens. Really tough to get a good read, but still fair for most skill levels. Course was in great shape, very enjoyable round. Staff were very helpful & informative.
Didn't meet expectations...
The Hills course was ok but nothing great that would justify the $59 they normally charge, especially when there are other comparable courses in the area that you can play for about $36. I didn't find the course challenging at all. Huge bunkers are set back so far off the greens, they don't really come into play. I did like the links style layout and the fact that you have to play the whole 18 holes, meaning hole 9 does not end back at the clubhouse. I'll play it again but only if I can get a price around $32 to $36. In my opinion, it isn't worth much more than that.
I much preferred the Orchard course. Better layout and a bit more challenging. I will definitely play the Orchard course more often.
