The Lincoln Hills Golf Club - Orchard Course

The course was In excellent condition and the pace of play was about 4 hours. Fairways were in good shape and the greens were smooth. Overall a good test of golf especially on the front nine. The after golf margaritas were outstanding! We got a great price on Golf Now that made the day even better.

The layout of the LH Orchard course is nice and somewhat challenging. The group in front of us was slow, but can't blame the course for that. The problem is the course maintenance was fair to poor. There are a lot of large weeds on the course and the tee boxes are pretty beat up and rough. The sand traps need maintenance. The LH neighborhood is very well landscaped and maintained so it's surprising that the course had so many weeds and some of the ponds are covered in green moss. The course really needs some maintenance.

Nice layout, decent shape. 14th hole unfair, other than that, good tract.

We played the Hills. Very forgiving course, reachable par 5s, greens were in great shape considering they were recently plugged. All in all, a fun day of golf, moved at a good pace.... well worth the price.

This was a practice round before several of our group plays in a tournament. The course was in good shape; the staff is friendly; they are COVID-19 compliant to keep everyone safe; the practice areas of the range, putting green and chipping area are excellent; and the food and beverages are awesome.

The first hole was in very good shape and that changed a bit over the next few holes. Wet areas, piles of cut grass laying around the fairways, even worse in the rough. The wet grass was getting tracked onto the greens and probably spent more time picking grass than fixing ball marks to get a good putt off. Far too many clumps of Dallis Grass in the fairway. Greens ran pretty true and the marks from recent aeration are healing nicely. The young lady on the beverage cart was pleasant to deal with and kept her cart out of play while driving the hole we saw her on.

Agree with Ted below. The Orchard is nice design with decent greens, and reasonably open driving areas. Overall, the staff, practice areas, and ambiance of the complex were nice and the finishing holes near the entrance are nicely maintained (apparently for visual impact) However, many of the rest of the “fairways”, “aprons”, and tee boxes appear to be just mown (or not) patches of crabgrass and other weeds. I live out of state and this was my first visit, but my playing partners who had played The Orchard before were embarrassed after a few holes by the tee and fairway conditions. Constant refrain was “next time we’ll play the other course (The Hills)”. Sounds like good advice and I intend to give The Hills a try.

Waited on every hole, , every shot after second hole, left course after 13th hole. No attention is paid to the pace of play by staff. . Suggest the players be advised that even a moderate rate of play be strongly encouraged.. In fact all courses should push some kind campaign to push fast play.

For this time of year and with all the fires and smoke, the course is in great shape and the weather cleared for our round. A bit slow with a packed course; but that's okay. Ciro the starter does an amazing job. Always pleasant, honest about the pace of play and helpful.

Completely ruined day of golf. Most of us get just a few hours a week to golf. Having that ruined by a course that just doesn't care is disgusting. Sent out behind a junior tournament. Behind foursomes, that were walking and playing at a tournament pace. This course isn't designed to be walked in the first place. To put players out there behind a walking tournament is unforgivable. Thanks for ruining my few hours off.

love its challenging layout but very player friendly

Not all bad; not all good. Greens pretty good, bunkers pretty sad, some fairways good but some really poor. The closer to a road or the clubhouse, the better the maintenance. A few of the outer holes are fighting a losing battle with the weeds.
