Lincoln Hills Orchard Course
ran out of carts--started 1 hour pst tee time, backed up 4 groups in front each hole
Beautiful Golf Course
Both Courses are excellent - Book through their web site for specials. I recommend that you play early.
love the course
ill be back, its tough to reach the 15th on orchard in 2
Why so wet?
Played on Sunday. Course is in good shape despite the drought. Which would lead to my question of "why so wet?" Some sections of fairways had balls plugging. Why would a course have enough water put on it for balled to plug in the middle of a drought? They need to ratchet it back a bit. If I am walking and sinking then there is too much water
Poor pace of play
Quit after 3 holes and 1 hour. Too many golfers and Hills Course was closed for aeration. They refunded my money and I went home. Bummer.
Good experience with the course in very good conditions
I played mid afternoon and the course wasn't crowded so it only took 3 hours to finish. Played from black tees 7000 yards and it was a fair test for my 4 handicap. I will play there again
Lincoln Hills Orchard and Hills Top Marks
Love the Orchard. Like the Hills. All types of conditions on both courses, from perfect lies, uneven lies in rough, and sand. The sand is fine, one needs bunker game to know this. It can look uneven or flawed, but get some technique and you are out close to pin as sand is a good quality, really soft and the right deepness. Wide open on the Orchard most the time with enough long demanding shots, and greens keeping things honest with slight break. Hills has some good holes, just not as demanding off tee as Orchard. Neither are too penalizing and offer wonderful tee boxes. The views on most are endless... Greens looked verti-cut and rolled, and rolled just fine. This 36 hole complex is well worth the visit, in fact play let's play TWO! Awesome each and every time.
Solid track
This is a fun and forgiving course. Wide fairways and large greens. We'll maintained. Unfortunately, for us, the pace of play was rather slow.
Deceptively fast greens
Two courses, played "The Hills", straight forward layout, a couple of blind tee shots on double dog leg par 5's but not tricked up. Fairly short from blue tees. Greens in good condition, run true and with subtle slippery breaks. Sand is firm, use a lob wedge. A few tee boxes are rough/uneven. Doesn't come back to the clubhouse at the turn, only a cart girl for food and drink. Very good practice facilities though off mats the day I played. Carts only (tees and greens are very far apart). Located in senior/over-55 development.
Great tracks
Played as a foursome and started at 1:00, $26.00 with cart. Saw the beverage ladies 3-4 times and the course was wide open. Yes, some of the fairways were showing signs of the drought but for the most part they were in great shape. Bunkers have good sand and the greens were receptive and rolled true. Played a second round right after for $10 and finished before dark, best course(s) for the money.
Should have played the Hills side...
Two or three holes on the Orchard side are too challenging for a 20-25 index player such as myself. Some rough spots just off the first fairway cut left unplayable lies. Several interesting holes make the course memorable and worth coming back for. Nonetheless, the Hills course is my preference over the Orchard side.
Golf to have fun!!
The course had a few things that makes any golfer not want to come back. 1- we were 4 in our group and let a 3 sum go on, then we had a 2 sum on our tails with another 2 sum behind them who should of paired up. Sand bunkers were hard and compacted from all the watering and standing water or mud. 90 degree rule on every hole when we are in a drought season again.
that really slowed up play. We did shoot in just over 4 hrs. which was with a wait on a few holes.
Those are the reasons I would not recommend it to a friend. What do you want for 38 dollars? I thank them for that.
great course at a great price
great course easy to get on as a single, very nice practice facility. will go back again
Great value for this course
Great value for this course. The fairways were in good condition consider ing the watering restrictions. The greens were a little hard, but reseptive.
lincoln review
I filled in a foursome on the computer, but at the course four players showed up. They did not let me know until the teetime. I waited over an hour to tee off. We were the last group between tournaments. Over 5 hours to play. They need to let golf now know when tournaments are being played.
nice day
had a great time staff was very friendly the course was in very nice shape except for the greensbut overall still loved it
will be back for sure!
Fun course in great shape Even though the greens were punched 2 weeks prior. Good drinks at the bar.
Lincoln Hills Orchard Course
The course was in good condition. Unfortunately the greens were sanded. I knew this signing up, so it was no surprise. It was the day of the masters and thought it would be light play, but it was just the opposite. Pretty slow round. Can't figure out the cart girl schedule. They were closing down the hills course to sand it, and since the course does not come back to the club house, I thought the drink cart would remain on the course. Did not see it after the 10th hole. The drink cart perplexes me on every course, so this is not a rub against Lincoln Hills.
Very Disappointed
The starter never told us that there was a tournament in progress on the course. By the time we got to the 13th hole there were four groups on that hole. It was at a standstill. We had had enough and left the course. This is not how a course should treat its customers.
Great Day Out!
A friend & I wanted to play a course in the area & I saw the deal for Lincoln Hills Orchard course 8:21 tee time for a Saturday for $39 each riding. It sounded like a good deal & it was! We got paired up with anther twosome (man & wife) and there was no one in front of our group. It was a sunny day with a light breeze in the low 70s. We all hit the ball fairly well. The fairways & greens were in good shape too. It was a great day out!
