Course is always fun to play.
Course well maintained for late fall and no substantial rain to date. We had the course to ourselves due to the threat of rain. Greens were very fast, but would hold good approach shots.
Course conditions were very good.
Driving range the grass was very spotty. Range balls needed to be washed or replaced. Otherwise, I will be returning to play more rounds at both of these courses...
No value
Couldn't get the tee-time I desired at a good price because the gals at the desk told golf now there was a tournament. Got there early, teed off early because there was NO tournament.
They just wanted to charge a higher price.
This course is long but only moderately challenging.
Fairways are wide, and well maintained. A few holes have blind landing areas, so it will take a couple of rounds to figure them out. I am not accustomed to hitting over riparian areas and marsh land, and lost at least one ball hitting into what I assumed to be the fairway, only to find out the marsh extended another 20 yards beyond my club selection. You have to know the exact distances (within 10 yards) of each of your clubs to play this course well. Fortunately, there are only 4 or 5 holes where this is a serious problem. Otherwise, great course.
Easy fairways but tricky greens
I found this course to be for the most part wide open fairways but very tricky and challenging greens. I would love to play this course again when I am in the area.
Course is wide open but plays long.
Course in great shape but carts couldn't get close to greens. A lot of wet spots from poor sprinkler drainage. Will definitely play again.
Pace of play a big issue
This course is fun to play and in reasonably good condition. The problem is pace of play is out of control. No marshals results in crazy antics on course by players at first sign of slowdown. People jump around and cut in when it suits them. Also players here don't see the need to repair ball marks or divots as though it's "beneath them". Residents act like it's their private course without responsibility or pride in course typical of REAL private club members.
You always know you will get a good course in good shape.
Both courses at Lincoln Hills are fun to play and both are always very well maintained. The orchard course which we played is a more challenging layout but very fair. We played early morning on a holiday and were still able to finish in 4 hours. Throughout the years this course has always been a fun round with a nice course always kept in great shape.
Great value course, very fun
Fun course for beginner to intermediate. Good challenges but still open enough fairways to not be imposing. Good value through Golfnow for our foursome.
The course is a little overwatered in certain places on most every hole (it's the tail end of summer and it hasent rained here in about 5 weeks). Also, they need to change out their sand rakes. I raked a sand trap and got fiberglass splinters through my glove. These two factors kept them from a 5 star for me. Details make the difference.
Too many people put out on the course, bad starter and rude staff in club house.
Starter did not do a good job in putting people off had 3 groups waiting on the first tee! The club house attendant was rude and dismissive. Very slow pace and NO marshal.
golfing spaced well for fast play
Lincoln Hills Orchard Course offers a moderate challenge with several very challenging holes. Stay on course and have a great day. Wander off the fairways and forget about saving par. Keeps you on your toes but lots of fun for any skill level depending on which tee box you choose to play.
Course had been heavily watered.
Many wet areas and muddy balls diminished the experience. At normal conditions it is a very enjoyable course.
Looks like a resort course
Challenging and visually attractive. No marshalls on the day we played to speed up the groups ahead.
always fun
I always enjoy playing either of the courses at Lincoln Hills. We played Orchard this time and zipped through the first 10 holes until we caught up to a few groups. Fairways and greens are in great shape. Seems the maintenance crew did not know the difference between the colored tee markers as the order was different on a lot of the holes. My partner and I were playing the blues so we knew we were the second set from the back but on a number of holes the white markers were there and on one hole the red markers (women's tee) was there. I had never seen that before. Love the course; challenging around the greens. Very easy to 3 putt if you leave yourself a long first one. Would highly recommend lagging to leave yourself something less than a tree footer. Gets pretty hot out there as there is limited shade. Bring lots of water in the summertime.
The condition of the Orchard course could be better. Price is appropriate.
Had a wonderful time. Moved along nicely. There are areas that could use some work. A couple of holes that need some redesign but in the long run it was very satisfactory.
Good Course, for good price
Myself and three other buddies played this course 7/20/13 @6:06AM. Perfect weather (before the heat) and greens/fairways were well maintained. Sand was soft to hit out of and no issues with Marshalls because there were none.
I would come here again, FOR THE RIGHT PRICE.
Great course
1st time playing the orchard course was in great condition and pace of play was great.
watered too much in some areas
Only drawback to the course but not that much of one is that seemingly overwatering had created some very swampy areas in fairways. Otherwise was a great day of uncrowded golf . Could not believe how deserted the Orchard Course was that day.Weather was almost perfect--low 90 temp
Nice
We loved the price with Golf Now. The course was great. Had a nice time. Going to book again.
