Boring
Course design is old and tired. Straight holes, parallel fairways. Top dressed greens.. soggy in spots,, brick like in others. Shaggy. Clubhouse a throwback to the 60s, no bag drop, 2 of 5 clubhouse personnel we saw did not wear a mask.. Played with nice people though, had a good time,, and thats what its all about.
Hard fast greens.
I really like firm fast greens, however on this course conditions around the green and in fairways don't allow for holding the ball on the greens. Lots of bare spots, holes; ruts, etc. Also, I don't know why a groove is cut between the green and second cut, or what is considered second cut. I do like the layout, but scoring is difficult and although the rates are reasonable, they are still expensive for these conditions.
The guy behind desk is very rude every time I go which was quite a bit!!
I’ve been going to this course just about every week for awhile through Golfnow and every time I go there guy at the desk has and attitude and rude. Also treats you like an idiot while swiping your card in the machine. I’m not the only one. When I go to the tee box the other guys say the same thing. I have to idea how he still works there cause it’s every time and not just me. So this last time I asked him why he’s so rude and he got angry and took the key out of the cart and told me to leave or he’s calling the cops. Very horrible customer service and I will never go back again and I will tell all my golf friends not to go either. As I can see I’m not the only one cause I see quite a bit of bad reviews on the same guy. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!
Nothing but Fun!
Great course, layout, challenging at times. Fast greens . Love this track!
Great Greens
Good track. Not real long,, but a little over 6500 from the blue tees. The greens were great. Fast and true.
Fun and challenging course.
Very pleasant course that is senior friendly with forward tees that make for fun golf for shorter hitters.
Great customer service!
The gentlemen behind the front desk that checked me in had such great customer service I will be returning to play again mainly because of him. Most staff members at courses in Broward County have awful attitudes toward players but coming to Oriole was very refreshing. I greatly appreciate the experience and I loved the course as well! Greens are immaculate
Highly recommend
man works over holes
I believe that management is working hard to develope
of courses
Muddy Swamp
We played this course in May and it was awesome. Too much rain this week. The course was a mess. Should not have been open for play today. Very muddy and swampy fairways. Standing water on many of the holes. Slow play. Terrible.
Mud mud and more mud
To be fair, the course had taken a lot of rain this week, but 2 or 3 fairways on par 5's should have been closed. I lost a ball in a swampy part of #12 even though my second shot was about 60 yards away and in the fairway. A hole that muddy should just be closed, you get a free par for showing up and you move to.a drier hole.
Greens were good, and I'd like to try the course again under dry conditions, which is hard in S. Florida right now.
Good play for cost
Staff has always seemed a little stuffy, even before this covid thing.
Course conditions have been keeped up much better than others in the area since reopening after the covid thing.
Even when packed, pace stays consistently steady for some odd reason
Pleasantly Surprised
The greens were in excellent condition and the fairways were actually solid as well. Really can’t believe this is the first time I played this course. Not that challenging and definitely a shorter course but playing form the tips made it more interesting.
