Franklin Canyon Golf Course

Been playing this course for over 30 years and this is by far the worst it has looked and played. There is almost as much bare ground as there is grass, but there are cracks and seams in the bare grounds.

Staff trying harder lately and it shows.

Course quality ticked up slightly considering drought conditions and course closing rumors.

Parking area still slum like, one guy, one day could completely reverse first impressions pulling into lot.

Improved overall in last month. Good job!

Value for the money is very poor

there is no maintenance for this course at all. you can see the garbage on teebox as well as along the fairway.

The pace of play may be slow to some but the nice thing is people are friendly, easy to get t-times, and people don’t mow you down if you are slightly less than speedy.

Love Franklin Canyon and have played there a few times a year for the last 30+ years. I love the layout and there is lots of character to the course, with some pretty difficult 3 pars (5 in total), decent changes in elevation and playable holes. Played there yesterday and was really disappointed in the state of the course. Course is just in awful shape. Greens are OK, but the rest is a disaster. Not playing here again unless there are drastic changes.

For $69 it ain’t worth it!! Tee boxes are terrible/slanted

Tees and Fairways are in terrible condition. Greens are still in decent shape. I guess they are getting a head start on the permanent closing. I grew up playing there and sadly that will be my last round . Go elsewhere Franklin Canyon is DONE !!

Course is in terrible shape. Amenities are falling apart.

Drought is killing this course. Some greens now have dead areas. Fairways are either dead or only weeds except the last hundred yards near the green.

I get that we're in a drought, but the greens were very slow and the course is brown in a lot of places. That said, the track has nice challenges , the staff are nice and the pace of play was fantastic for a Sunday.

This is a fun layout that is a great deal but the fairway conditions this last time we played 8/6/2022) were horrible. Mostly dead patchy grass so you’re hitting off the dirt or between dead tufts of grass. Tee boxes were a bit better and surprisingly the greens were in good shape (although they felt on the slow side.). We were 2nd group out and our foursome finished in 3:45. Unlikely to return until the course conditions improve.

I hit some pretty good drives only to be hitting off some dirt or hard pan. Greens were very slow. Course lay out was excellent.

The place shows an unkept look, but the parking lot is the first impression of decline with the DRY overgrowth. Cars with hot engines are snuggling up to the tall grass in most every parking space. One guy with a weed eater and 2 hours could knock down ALL of that hazzard. Garbage cans leading to Pro Shop should never be overflowing.

Come on, simple, obvious standard practices.

Looks nothing like the place..

The fairways are 50/50 a mixture of dirt and grass..

The greens are decent but slow.

The guy at the front desk was rude and didn’t know how to deploy players in a timely manner.

The cart battery died on us on the second hole.

The people that we met were nice but a little weird..

Won’t be going back..
