Franklin Canyon Golf Course

Great old course just needs someone to seed and fix all the dirt fairways and areas around the greens.

Price is a bit high for such poor conditions.

It was a very cold and windy day but clear and sunny. The fairways and greens were in very good condition. Some areas around the greens were recently seeded and grass was sparse. Speed of play was very good; finished in 4 1/2 hrs. New Covid protocol having carts ready with player names on them waiting at pro shop was great idea. Course layout was nice; some flat or tucked along hillside, elevated greens or tee boxes. Worth the drive out to Franklin Canyon.

Franklin Canyon isn't my home course but it's in the rotation. Fun, interesting and rustic layout. Fair and a little challenging. Will probably look better when the rains come. Greens in good shape but the tee boxes are rough. I'd recommend this course.

For the amount of money that they are charging the need to put some water on this course!!!!!!!!! Such a decent layout but you will have more dirt lies than grass lies. I live in the area and I will never play here again. The ladies working the bar are absolutely awesome and so friendly and so efficient that I hate to leave but this course is a dump.

Center of the fairway are OK but side of the fairway are almost no grasses ..

I paid $71 total ... Course is NOT worth the money ... Too many DRY areas ... I can play other nice courses for either the same $ or for less ..

Bunkers are very inconsistent and there are no rakes per Covid regulations. Course has more hardpan that ever before. Greens were in decent shape. I wish they'd charge a rate that would allow them to maintain this course. Great layout but terrible conditions.
