Staff attitude
When I ran into a backup of 4 foursomes on the par 3 11th hole,I went back to #1. The hole was wide open and nobody was anywhere near the tee box. The person in the pro shop had been talking to someone for about 5 minutes and ignored me.
When I proceeded to the tee, he, his name is Randy, called me and addressed me in an abusive way. He said there were 10 minute tee time intervals, with nobody in the fairway nor around the tee box , that didn't apply to this situation. Randy said " this isn't Burger King, cute, but abusive.
A little flexibility and common courtesy, as well as common sense, would be appreciated in the future.
Pricey for the conditions
Charge top dollar for course that is not in good condition. Greens are good. Hit a great drive and might be hitting off dirt and acorns. Tough having to use city water. Costs a lot. Kitchen not often open for hot food except hot dogs. Staff is great though. Just shouldn’t charge $68 on weekends for a course in that condition. Blue Rock $2 cheaper and is in great shape. Drop the price Franklin.
Decent greens
Fairways ok, dry on the edges with hard pan for rough. But a good friendly layout for those looking to work on their game like me. Played from whites but if you are on your game play it from the tips. Yardage markers seem fairly accurate. Pace of play was good.
3 star
Course a little rough around the edges. Greens in good condition.
Bait and switch
The course looks NOTHING like the photos. The pace of play was private club like; however, course conditions were terrible.
Poor Shape
The coarse was in poor shape. Fairways were dry and barely any grass. Greens were Ok but very disappointed in the conditions
I'll Be Back!
Great pace...lovely weather...friendly patrons and staff.
Not worth it
The best thing I can say, the greens were nice, not easy but in good condition. That being said, I will drive past this course to play where the entire course is a good experience. I’ve played this course more than any close by to my home in Hercules. Fairways were awful. Wont complain about no rakes (COVID-19), just wanted more value for my “local course”. I found better conditions and value just a little further out. Really was hoping for a good experience since it had been 6 months since I played here, it will probably be at least that long before I play here again.
One of the hidden gems of Bay Area
Tucked away off of highway 4, a course full of unique challenges for all levels of play. Extra safe playing conditions - and the course is in great shape right now
Hard pan everywhere
Been a year since I’ve played here and the lack of watering and lack of fairway grass made it a $70 round of hitting off hard pan. Maybe I’ll check back in 5 or 10 years.
could use some care
The course is close to my house. They know that the course is dry, but try and make the greens acceptable. The play there is usually very slow, four and half hours to five. They do a good job as far as getting the carts clean and ready in these difficult times.
Fairways are in terrible shape
Shame because I used to like the course. Now you are hitting off dirt unless you are directly in the middle of the Fairway.
Greens are in good shape.
Sandtraps are just brown dirt
