About
Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Golfer Reviews
Course good, staff not
Staff is rude. Wouldn’t allow me to ride my own cart, insisted on making me ride with a random that wasn’t my tee time. Typical contractors working a DOD course, don’t care about customer service even a little
Good challenging golf course with excellent staff!!!
Good challenging golf course with excellent friendly staff!!!
Nice Course
Course is in excellent condition just need to trim the ruff some. Hard to locate the ball in the ruff causing a lot of time spent looking for it.
please mow
this course is amazing but so frustrating to lose balls because the rough is just too long of grass...
A Thursday at WH.
WH has just about become a regular play for me and a buddy. Close to our residence, friendly staff, well priced, and greens that were just about perfect. October is a wonderful month to play golf in Florida, so we took advantage of great weather. Fairways and greens along with Tee boxes were all in great shape. Recommend you get the MWR card and make it out to Windy Harbor.
Hot!
Windy Harbor is in excellent shape. Must have purchased new carts because we made it all the way around, nice. Super humid day which made it really Hot. Still had a fun day because the golf course is in such fine shape. Go play it you will not be disappointed.
Always a great time at Windy Harbor
Course is in great shape. Greens are in the best shape that I have seen. The practice green is being rehabilitated and should be better in a few months. Staff is friendly and accommodating to all golfers and especially being on top of it with pace of play. Keep up the great work.
1st Cut Rough very thick/long
Excellent course in great shape after all the rain in northeast FL. However, due to rain the rough on the course was very thick and long. The course is very challenging especially the back 9 being closer to the ocean (can be windier than front 9). Overall great course. Greens were in great shape and fast.
Fun track with several wide open fairways
We played hare in late August on a pretty hot day. We were paired with 2 young men who were very friendly, so that made it more fun. The facilities were in good condition, bunkers were ok, and the staff we encountered were helpful. Would play here again!
Wednesday at Windy Harbor
Me and a buddy had a quick round at the Harbor and enjoyed the pace of play and the conditions of the course. The greens and fairways were just about perfect. With this rain we've been having the rough was rough and everything was very green. We've put WH on our course rotation.
