About
Windy Harbor Golf Club is a military golf course located at the Mayport Naval Station, it was formerly known as the Mayport Golf Club. The seaside course now takes its name from the blustery ocean breezes that sweep through the back nine. The golf course is narrow with tree-lined fairways and large, fast greens that are slightly sloped. There is also a defined cut of rough beside every fairway. Greenside bunkers and water hazards that come into play on nearly every hole make the course challenging for players of all abilities. Windy Harbor Golf Club also has practice facilities for golfers to use that include a driving range with grass and carpeted practice tees, a practice sand trap, and a large putting green.

Always fun
Windy Harbor is the best value for golf in NE florida. A true test especially when the winds are up making many shots and club selection - 1,2, and even 3 clubs higher or lower. Usually get to play with someone new which can be interesting as well. Speed of play can be an issue also as the skill levels vary and you often will find some beginners and higher handicap groups. But just resign yourself and enjoy yourself. Certainly worth it. And you still have to hit quality shots. Back nine is the tougher of the nines
They need to mow!!
The fairway and greens are amazing but if that balls hits the ruff. Finding it is horrible. Also no air conditioning in club house. Made for other lunch plans
It’s been a while
A buddy and I just got our MWR cards and wanted to play Mayport for the first time in almost a year. We found the entire course to be in great shape. Greens and fairways were very nice with plenty of grass on the tee boxes. I noticed the ponds had been cleaned up from all their cattails. Everything looked really good, except the putting green. It was still being reworked. Price was a good value given that everyone has raised their prices in the last year or so. Highly recommend if you can get on the base.
Don't Judge The Course By the Practice Putting Green
The course was in great shape - greens were rolling nicely. Unfortunately, WH has not been able to get the practice putting green back to shape but the course was great. Staff is always very attentive and food was awesome (and very reasonably priced)! Pace of play within 4 hours!
Hidden Gem
Great course for all skill levels, all holes were well maintained
Price is lowest around and the restaurant is amazing. New carts with GPS yardage trackers made pace of play much quicker in my opinion. I will be back for sure.

Great Conditions
We were very impressed with overall conditions. Condition and pace of play were excellent! The layout is great since the front nine and back nine are different (both great but back nine has windier conditions near the coast).
Got rained out after 9 holes but course is in great shape as always.
